Is this build by the same company like the Baofeng models? It looks similar in some aspects. You should check the spurious emissions if they are in specs. Do you need a license for this (in the states / in europe)?

I wanted to, in addition to programming amateur radio frequencies, to put in the UK PMR frequencies. An error message saying frequencies have to be in multiple of 1.25 KHz. How do I get around this? Can't see a setting to help me!

@@digitalanaloguehamradio Yup, I know, pretty bad to be honest, but Ive spoken to them about it and currently users can either contact them directly or download it from the Moonraker website. I'll keep it up to date. Fingers crossed the iOS version comes out soon, I believe they are in the middle of converting the iOS version language from Chinese to English, then we'll get it.

The near howl-around level of the monitors in the last few video's is very very distracting from your excellent content sir. Please trust your kit & turn all monitors off completely when recording. ;) If needbe, do a short test recording, review, then roll minus monitoring for less of the Victorian chamber pot acoustical effect. Keep up the good work :)
@TechMindsOfficial4 жыл бұрын
I don’t have any monitors on while recording, everything is muted. But I know what you mean and I believe it is the acoustics of the room I am in and the audio reflections from the walls. I will look into improving this :) thank you
@Beevalover4 жыл бұрын
@@TechMindsOfficial Ah, could well be the infamous 'chamber-pot-effect' then... was guessing it was monitors but stand corrected. Thanks for taking the comment on-board, good man.

Hmmm I fancied this or the 8600 but not having the right modulation and not having the right frequency steps for UK has put me off. Its a nice looking radio but air band on FM sounds shite. My tiny AR-108 has the right modulation and steps. This looked to be a serious product, but to me having air band in FM is pointless thats just a gimmick.

Wow, I really wanted to like this radio, but it just wont let me. Lots of great promising features promoted, but too many details skipped over during production make this radio far more difficult and frustrating to use than my BaoFengs, which already have a reputation fo rbeing difficult. PC Channel Programming Software (is Pre- Windows 95 in terms of usability): 1. No resizing of frequency list windows, so you have to scroll left/right and up/down constantly while trying to keep your place. 2. No Copy/Cut/Paste from one line to the next to speed up frequency programming 3. No Copy/Cut/Paste using keyboard shortcuts (have to right click every time - horrible) 4. No Pasting data from external source, such as Excel (every frequency has to be entered individually, one at a time - Pure Evil) 5. Does not support common CTCSS Tones (such as 254.1) which means not compatible with many repeaters (even my cheap $30 BaoFeng does this) Android Bluetooth Programming Software: 1. Not available on Google Play - Must be SIDE LOADED 2. Does not display user entered channel names properly 3. Frequently transfers data incomplete or incorrect to Radio, leaving user to diagnose why Rx/Tx not working properly Firmware Updates: 1. Per customer support, no firmware updates are available to correct these issues, nor will any be offered FIRE HAZARD! 1. While programming the radio via PC, the device suddenly shut off and would not turn on again. The battery was too hot to touch and nearly started a fire! The USB ports no longer work and the battery was fully drained, all in less than 15 minutes. Further research revealed others have had the same issue! And they continue to sell these defective radios.... More info at Amazon Reviews: www.amazon.com/product-reviews/B087M94ZHZ/ref=cm_cr_unknown?filterByStar=one_star&pageNumber=1 Skip this Half-A$$ POS and buy three BaoFengs (that work) for the same $$.
