Ooh sorry I'm just watching this now because I was at the marae yesterday. Shucks this is so special, I'm not sure if K Bear knows the significance of the first Waiata I.e. The lord prayer. The tune was composed by Waka Huia, and then they gifted it to Queen Vic my old boarding school. At the time we were the only kura with permission to sing it, but lots of the old girls have taught it and it's now well known throughout Aotearoa :)
