Is it because the government has maintained a well documented smear campaign across many individual area's. Frankly anything the US government stands against has a disinformation campaign already associated. They persist in this well past the point of credulity continually. It doesn't matter if it's claims that Saddam did this, or Cuba did that, who sunk the USS Liberty or even being forthright about a toxic oil spill. FOIA requests are redacted *as standard* on practically everything. What we see as demonstrated by past action is lying on a stagger scale so comprehensive that no psychopath could ever hope to compete with. But... this is the one subject where you think they tell the truth and anyone who looks at the regular pattern of lies loses credibility? Neil, credibility is EARNED via action. The US Government has deeply negative credibility. Nothing I have said even implies any of this is real or that I believe in anything, it's just that when you deal with a group that lies with such extreme consistently you eventually come to the conclusion that the truth is almost always sitting as the opposite to anything they say as a good starting point. The problem with subject of intelligence that's not human is more broad. It's statistically improbable that we're the only intelligent species to have ever evolved in the history of the universe.. The Drake Equation shows how impossible it is for it to be only us. So, with the assumption that 'other exist in stagger quantities' based on that equation, the burden of proof has to sit with denialists. Hopefully this explains why credibility is not really damaged. I don't have to prove gravity exists outside the solar system right? Why not? We have never tested it. But it is a solid logical assumption. A huge chunk of what's going on is likely garbage. But, how much needs to be true for it to be earth shattering? One. That's it, just one. And probability make the chance of that overwhelming. Or, go believe the guys who lie about everything else and believe that 'this time' they are telling the truth. Nobody needs to convince you. You just need to pick whats most probable.

I remember he seemed credible, like the kind of guy that was going to end up on 60 minutes (I actually thought he was, apparently not). The articles now, maybe after a whitewash was that he was a nobody and now does wacky stories. Thing is, I recall seeing him on TV quite a lot years back, I'm sure he was one of the journalist elite here. So, I'm not sure how he fell out of favor. People love to refer to Minister Hellyer as proof of alien existence but I have never heard him say his position as Defence Minister gave him some inside information, or like he knew of Canada's version or a Project Bluebook or something. 40 some years ago, I was working in field offices in Central/South America regions as a DEA agent n advisor. Our major objectives was to assist regional military forces fight against drug/arms trafficking throughout those countries. Always had a military officer with us n 7th guys. Fighting with the Farc Rebels was ongoing n it all played a sufficient role in identifying trafficking operations n using airborne assets monitoring those objectives. While down there, there were incidents that took place quite often n the US military specialists were secretive operations that involved crash n retrieval operations of unknown crafts n its occupants. It was absolutely shocking how fast their response was while with the retrieval process. On 2 occasions we were witnesses to such operations n we were first on sence due to our presence in country. All I'll say, is that there's significant resources given to fund these incidents n the main controllers are with the United States government agencies involved. No indenified personnel arrived n the assets available to them was astronomical. The military equipment involved n the secretive operations that definitely were in control regardless of how their government forces being used as outside perimeter security.

You don't get to that rank in the military without being extremely political. With the dominant political affiliation being to money, what do you think that influence has done to his moral set. Even assuming that it started out perfectly in alignment with what we all would hope it would be. The simple fact of the matter is that there is far too much obfuscation to believe anything said or presented. He could have showed up with a truckload of artifacts from extraterrestrials, and it would still get buried after a period of time. Hell, UFOs flew over the White House for what, three consecutive days, and the amount of denial is overwhelming. I love that we are talking about it, but our lives will not change. Kudos to Col. Nell as well as his predecessors who’ve chad the courage to come forward. The military doesn’t make it easy for them. My father was a career USAF officer and I grew up loving and respecting the military. The world has changed dramatically during my lifetime, I was born in Roswell, NM a few years after the ‘Roswell Incident” and I have ALWAYS known that we are not alone.
