Thing about Senku is: He has so much emotion and feelings, but chooses not to show it. He doesn't allow himself to feel while things are serious, he makes a strong and levelheaded character and I really like the portrayal of his seriouness, in a way.

Oh he feels said emotions alright - he’s just really good at both controlling them and putting on a face. There are very few moments in the show where he “breaks” or is very honest about his emotions. Some examples: - sharing cotton candy with the enemy - Tsukasa’s cold death - realizing his Dad soent decades finding platinum - and being the last one standing after the fight with that false village leader Nonetheless, he does put logic first beforr everything - what I really like however is that he also takes into consideration people’s emotions, personalities, and motives, making him one of the more humane characters in the show and also a good leader overall.

If you wants me that's part of it but I also think that it feels like because of his ears a voice acting, they might have actually let him have a bit more fun with his lines and say them however he feels senku would have said them. Like whenever the discussion of good English dub actors or just good English dubs in general comes around, I always like to point out Panty & Stocking With garterbelt where they essentially let the same English dub voice actors who voice acts for so many other shows including even shows like Fairy Tail and my hero Academia and one piece and they just let them have whatever fucking fun they wanted to have the goddamn English language insatiate the same way that a native English speaker would say especially nowadays wear sweaters have become a benign basic part of the average native English speakers vocabulary. There's also Black Lagoon that it just simply acknowledge is that its cast is adults and understand also that adults swear like fucking sailors and that their task was also Pirates so even racist slurs could be something you could imagine them to stay or just in general racist jokes because well, they're fucking Pirates so who the fuck do they care about offending when every other day they're killing people purely because they know those people have shipped they want and not even because they have any particular grudge against those people or know for a fact that those people are actually causing harm.

Totally agree. I tend to watch a lot of dubbed shows and Dr Stone is a stellar example in my opinion. The entire cast really puts their all into their characters (especially with Senku, Taiju and Gen), and it makes it so much more enjoyable to watch. It's honestly quite refreshing.
