Happy days Baz - and nights - in the rain, knock up a temp bush with a cutting gun - love it! (Hope you gave the operator a Droylesdon nod over keeping on running that bucket with the greaser knocked off.) Then back out again for a bath in Hydrol - what can a man ask? So how much 20mm can a good man pick up with that rig - he seemed to be swinging it well - not too many dings in the carriages and well cleaned out? How long did it take him? Did he manage the deadline? Need I say - great work and keep 'em coming.

Can I suggest something Baz that could possibly save the company lots of money. If you ever have to offload the train with diggers you could literally have some braces (out riggers) in the yard that will stop the carriages tipping as you off load and derailing them. Quite simply and fast you can just put a 60 degree prop under the top lip in each corner of a carriage and offload. This would keep each carriage solid not allowing it to tip. They have a very narrow base but a couple of minutes from each driver just standing corner props could save time and possible fines. I have a engineers approach to everything I believe this would transform offloading.

Its always the case that you never have what you need in the van , Really enjoyed the video , you have to work with what youve got . I always remember working with hydraulic hoses , we kept reusable hose connections , where you if possible we cut out the bad section of hose , fitted the new connections using a knife , vice, and hacksaw . A £15.00 solution to a £100.00 problem.

You said you were the "Gun" with a torch and I thought to myself "that's a big claim young fella." Actually i think you said your dad was No 1 and you were No 2. But you proved yourself. Welding it to the bucket was a stroke of genius too. I would've been mucking about with a clamp or two. Not too pretty but very functional and like you said you saved the eye from more damage and becoming irrepairable. Love your work.
