There is something going very wrong with your ears or your units. I trust you. 1- First of all there is no way in the hell that airpods pro 2 has stronger bass than momentum tws 3 or 4. I have airpods pro 2 type-c and momentum tws 3. Airpods pro 2 has faaaaaaar weaker bass than any momentum tws 3 or 4. I predict that your airpods pro 2 unit is defective or clogged ANC mics causing weaker ANC and may be who knows stronger bass. Apple has some weird kind of enviroment optimization that give same sound near an huge engine or silence so may be there is somehting going wrong with your unit on anc bass compensation or something. But you are right that airpods pro 2 has some opennes because it has some lower mids higher than other earbuds, after buying airpods pro 2 i confirmed that your right. Even it has peak around 3k it has widenes feeling because of those lower mid area. i didnt see this on freq graphs on internet. 2- Buds3 pro ANC reviews are all over the place. There is units with very powerfull ANC like airpods pro 2 and there is still defective units some dont have bass cancellation.(picky audio changed his unit and solved the bass cancellation problem.)

Audio quality of the Airpods pro 2 can be improved a lot: first using the audio customisation features under settings/accessibility. And secondly using the the "late night" EQ option under settings/apps/music - the difference is amazing (also EQ in Spotify) I'm using the Airpods pro 2 as my daily workhorse on android and iOS. I'm also using Status Between ANC for great audio quality and battery life (and a unique design).

Had Momentum TW2, then upgraded to 3, on which one earbud went dead (!), and then got Monentum TW 4. Have to say that I rea)ly love Sennheiser sound signature, as have Sennheiser Game One as gaming headphone, and then open HD58X and HD600, last but not least Momentum Wireless 4. headphones,

I had Jabra 65t, 75t then the elite actives. I bought their newest elite gen 2 and they had many issues. Returned and got a new pair. New pair had constant crackling and connection drops. Bought Sennheiser TW4 because their headphones are bar none. They fit great and the noise cancelling is much better than the previous Jabras. I don't use the microphone at all, so I didn't care when I read reviews. I also hate the look of air pods, the Sony and Bose ones where they all hang out of the ear. They look like a tampon is in my ear. For what I needed, the TW4 have been perfect. For others that want to pretend they're important in public and need the mic, I guess stick with the air pods so everyone knows how pretentions you are.

You already got 2025 standards? You should review your time machine! I've listened to most and the Senns are the best sounding earbuds out right now (noting I have not heard the PI8s from B&W).

Informative review, thanks. Decided to to go for the sennheiser momentum 4 because of the anc upgrade and audio quality. I considered the Bowers and Wilkens pi8 but it's twice the price (sennheiser tw 5 is currently £168 on Amazon).

I had a Sennheiser Momentum 3 back in November of last year and for the few months I used it, it had great sound but the eartips were so terrible that it gave a cut in my ear (Not deep inside my ear canal. just where the eartips rested). I only used it for a few months until the right side stopped working. I'm not sure if I'll ever buy Sennheiser earbuds again. It did suck that it broke because it was my first ever pair of Sennheiser's so not a great first experience. I did later replace it with the Jabra Elite 10 and the sound isn't as bassy as the Sennheiser but I like how they sound. Overall, I love my Jabra earbuds

Did you try cleaning the connections on the charging case and earbuds with ethanol? Ear wax on the terminals can prevent a proper charge.

@@human6.045 They were working because I did check the app and the right side was connected but just never played any audio. I'm sure it isn't a being dirty issue because when I flick the earbuds, that's when it starts playing but the moment I do anything like jump, the sound cuts out. It's like a static sound so it probably had to do something with the internals malfunctioning. I think the most sad part is that before my Sennheiser earbuds, I had the Galaxy buds + and it had the same exact problem and I concluded down to it being because I slept with them on. Maybe it's on me for being stupid for sleeping with them on but then again, I did accidentally sleep with my Jabras on and they're fine. Even in the app for the Jabra, there are sleeping noises so it's not like i couldn't sleep with them. Sorry for the long yapping session 😅

Hasn’t the Firmware 5.15.4 negatively affected the sound quality of Momentum 4 TWS , as if the bass and spaciousness of sound has been compromised! Please share your views?

The firmware upgraded the performance of the ANC and addressed the mic quality. Sound quality sounds the same to me both pre-update and post-update

😂 the ambient mode of mtw 4 is the same as not wearingg any earbuds. You need to check the authenticity of your mtw4. And comfort wise, even if bose is shallow fitting it's still a big earbud and the momentum 4 is smaller with more simple fit, I prefer the mtw4 for comfort.

I disagree with the transparency mode and mic. I've tested the transparency mode and it sounds very clear almost almost air pods level the only issue is when it's 100% raised there is a faint hiss in the background Im surely confident they will fix it in a firmware update. I've viewed the mic performance on other YT tech reviews and the earbuds sounded way better for both road noise and coffee environments I think you need to readjust the way you record your mic analysis on your reviews because the recording in your studio makes it a little difficult to properly simulate real noise.

Sennheiser has had fairly significant transparency hiss for both the TW3 and TW4. I ended up returning both within the first month of owning each because I just couldn’t justify them compared to my APP2. Sennheiser could theoretically fix the hiss with a firmware update, but unfortunately it’s been years with the TW3 and it still hasn’t been fixed. I’ve learned my lesson in the past with buying a product for potential future firmware or software updates. Looking at you Fitbit Ionic that was retired and lost firmware support before ever getting FDA approval on the O2 and ECG functionality. Was a huge selling point at launch “coming soon” and never happened.

For the past year and a half I've been using the technics az80 and they overall do everything really well sound great fit great great noise canceling some of the best ambient mode I've used and they have 3 way multipoint, when the momentum 4s came out I wanted to try them and I had some very high hopes for them but they didn't perform well in 2 key categories first the comfort the comfort wasn't great in my right ear and the sound wasn't impressive either it was rather dark and muffled with lots of bass not true audiophile quality sound i was hoping for especially from senheizer but everything else about them was amazing except the mic but it is what it is, so I did return then senheizer got so close to winning me over they just need to do a redesign and give us the audiophile quality sound we expect so until then I'll keep rocking technics cause they know what there doing

Was thinking about upgrading my jabra elite 7 pro's to these, my 7 pro's are having problems like being connected from the case, one earbud does not charge sometimes, battery life has been reduced significantly. But now i gotta think twice before upgrading to these

Yep My Sennheiser Momentum Earbuds 2 Fried Twice, The Sennheiser Momentum 3’s Fried Three Times..Same Old Issue that Sennheiser refuses to confirm or take control! And my Sennheiser Momentum 4’s Just Fried a couple of weeks ago! Same Issue. I will join in any class action lawsuit against sennheiser. Now after my Fours screwed up like the rest..Sennheiser is NOT Responding to my emails after I showed them they still owe me free replacement after a two year warranty! They acting like it is all my fault! I told them in the beginning email DO NOT SEND ME ANYMORE MOMENTUM EARBUDS ..They are all failures..Send me The Momentum Five Headphones when you release them..of course free!

@@Тарас-щ9с I had the earbuds wireless 3’s and they broke down 3 times..same issue..Left earbud would not connect..low battery below 5 amps is the issue and will not kick on..there are videos on KZbin explaining the issue and solution..but Sennheiser being massive dickheads will not admit the issues and would send me the same earns 3 that would crash again after 4-6 months..since they were under warranty they send me news..then when the 3’s broke down the last time..they sent me Free! The Momentum Fours! But they broke down like the three’s …Now I am stuck because I was not happy ..and told them the truth..Sennheiser does not like telling the truth or believe they have to be truthful with Consumers! I told the dickheads ..do not send me anymore Ears Buds..the 2’s, 3’s And 4’s All Brokedown…Please send me Momentum 4’s Headphones better yet The 5’s Headphones..it has been a couple of weeks..if there is a lawsuit against Sennheiser I’m joining in..They are not honest and produce the same crappy useless earbuds! Failure.

Battery failure is high on the momentum two and the momentum three and probably the momentum for I will never buy another set of buds from this company!

Mine are 3 years old and still going strong, Momentum 2. I have needed to clean the contacts on the buds and case from time to time to aid proper charging, I use ethanol but electric circuit board cleaner would most likly be best. The slightest amount of ear wax can prevent charging on all wireless buds. I'm not saying this was your issue though, just worth noting.
