Sennheiser XS Series Wireless System - Review

I've been working with the XS Wireless mics for a school production, hooking up 12 of them simultaneously and they do provide a good, healthy, clear signal, but if you are using other wireless microphones and walkie-talkies at the same time, then they did pick-up a lot of unwanted interference, even though the separation between other wireless mics and the walkies was over 300 MHz. I would recommend these mics, but I don't see what their ideal environment is. When using for productions, there isn't enough bandwidth to connect enough microphones for all the cast and additional equipment may cause interference, and for smaller gatherings, you might as well use any standard handheld for speeches. Note that this comment is based on experience with the wireless packs, not the handhelds.

Is there anyway to buy just the Bodypack? I have a Handheld mic and sometime would like the use the bodypack so I could switch between Handheld mic or Bodypack.

Hallo Ron. May I ask a question? Can I connect this product to a laptop MIC-IN 3.5 mm. port, and record the voice (or alternatively hear my voice in real time thru the laptop speakers)? Or do I need to connect it to some kind of stereo amplifier? Thanks in advance.

There are 2 outputs on the receiver: XLR and 6.3mm TRS. The receiver does have a built-in amplifier so you could connect it directly into the MIC-IN port via an adapter, but it may cause a great loss in signal quality and a high latency (over 40 ms). I would recommend using an audio interface to connect the receiver to the computer either via XLR or 6.3mm TRS, as it will keep the quality of the signal and provide a much lower latency for monitoring than when plugged directly into the computer (latency could go below 5 ms, depending on the audio interface and the computer age, operating system, RAM, sound card, connection type etc.)

I am looking for making online course on my subject. I have a set of Sennheiser XS EM10 TRUE DIVERSITY RECEIVER, SK20 BODY PACK TRANSMITTER and ME-3EW HEAD WORN MIC. I want to use this mic to record my voice on an android mobile or a computer for recording online courses. is there a way out? Please guide. Thankyou in advance.

My mic makes a loud distorted noise when I turn off , is there anything I'm doing wrong ?

Perhaps that noise is generated by your receiver once there is no signal coming in. Try setting the squelsh to a lower threshold to gate the noise.

I purchased xsw 2 but not worth for money.......very bad experience it's very problematic frequency problem, sounds came different....

Don t by it, its made in Taiwan, early days in Germany, and there are a distortion, that you can cat it away, cable connection is shit to, and it is plastic, And if you send a E Mail to Sennheiser the don t answer it, so Sennheiser is not any more what it was before, so look bather to an other one. Line 6 for example. R.
