The most recent versions of the Sensah shifters have metal internals (in comparison with the plastic of earlier iterations) and they shift very smoothly and seem very durable. They've also changed the rubber used for the hoods to something much more robust and Shimano-like. Also the Sensah shifters are compatible with Shimano derailleurs...so they make for a great cheap replacement if you bust your Shimano ones as Shimano shifters are the priciest part of their groupsets. I have Sensah Quantum shifters paired with Tiagra mechs 2 x 10) ...they work great with both front and rear Tiagra mechs...if anything I prefer the SRAM style single lever shifting to Shimano now I've got used to it.

Anything that threatens to stop the big boys in the bike component industry from charging us disgustingly abusive prices is welcome. Hopefully they keep coming out with more products like this and keep getting better and better, at the moment my Sensah Reflex's work much better than the Shimano Claris that came on my bike. And the gears and "Sunshine" cassette work great too.

Olá!!! Comprei cassete , câmbio traseiro e shifter do lado direito, tudo Sensah PHI e corrente Shimano CN 4601. Fiz um pedal de 40km e no retorno desse pedalada as marchas começaram a não indexar do cassete menor para o maior.Gostaria de saber se tem alguma regulagem fina a ser feita , já que é a primeira vez que o mecânico instala essa marca.

Personally I would recommend to use sensah levers and ltwoo branded derailleurs. The derailleurs from ltwoo are just better. Personally I run a 2x8 setup with reflex derailleurs and R5 shifters. It works perfect. Why do I still use 2x8 and not more gears? Well I love long distance rides (over 200-350km daily) and prefer the robustness of the 8 sprocket chain. I don't see the practical need for more than 16 gears.

Great video man. Yes I enjoyed and laughed. I have build a backup bike with some old (but in good shape with new rubber covers) DA7800 I swapped from my other road bike. I replaced with Ultegra 6700. Seeing your videos. I think I might go for the Sensa / Sram Red shifters and swap that with the Ultegra 6700 and send the Ultegra 6700 to the backup bike. Or just go for the Sensa group set maybe the 2x10 and replace the DA 7800. The hidden or better said under - bar tape brake cables looks more modern, comparing with the DA 7800 with the cables crossing in front of the bike. Thanks for sharing

Quantum is 10 speed but 4700 compatible (e.g. Tiagra 4700 RD is 11-speed aka new pull ratio) while Phi is the older road 10-speed pull ratio (also works on MTB 7,8,9 speed RD). I didn't believe it until I pair a Phi with Tourney TY300 6/7 speed rear derailleur. Works perfectly. Team Pro is 11-speed and compatible with Shimano 11-speed pull-ratio components (e.g. Tiagra 4700 RD or 105 7000 series, etc) or so they say. I will find out in a week's time.

@Kayeosyt8 ай бұрын
Hi I'm planning on doing this gear set too, did you have any problem and is the shifting good?
@fandydiadline8 ай бұрын
@@Kayeosyt I've been riding with a combination of Sensah and Shimano components for a while now, and I've noticed a few things I wanted to share. Overall, the maintenance intervals for the Sensah-Shimano combination seem to be a bit more frequent compared to using an all-Shimano groupset. This could be just a coincidence, but it's something I've observed. I've also noticed that the gear shifting can be a bit less smooth and precise with the Sensah-Shimano components compared to all-Shimano. There can be a slight delay in gear changes, or sometimes the gears might skip altogether, which is a sign that maintenance is needed. This difference in gear shifting became more apparent after I switched to a Shimano Sora groupset. They require less maintenance. With the Sensah-Shimano combination, I typically needed to visit my local bike shop for repairs every 30-45 days. However, with the all-Shimano groupset, I was surprised to find that I only needed to visit the shop every 3-5 months (Context: I'm using my bike for commuting and 50-70 km on weekends). According to my mechanic, there's a difference in the mechanical feel of Sensah and Shimano components. He says that Sensah components have a stiffer feel, while Shimano components have a smoother, more buttery feel. It's a subtle difference, but it can affect long-term comfort. If you're a beginner or looking to upgrade your bike gradually, a combination of Sensah and Shimano components isn't a bad choice. My mechanic himself uses this combination for his own bike, and he rides it on hilly commutes between cities. Sensah is not a bad option overall, but if you ever decide to upgrade to a full Shimano groupset, you'll definitely notice a difference in the riding experience. The choice between a Sensah-Shimano combination and all-Shimano ultimately comes down to personal preference and budget. If you're looking for the smoothest, most precise gear shifting and a softer mechanical feel, then Shimano is the way to go. However, if you're on a tight budget or willing to put up with a slightly less refined experience, then Sensah is a decent option.
@rosomak8244 Жыл бұрын
The difference between the 2x9 and 2x8 groupset is one little notch more in the right hand shifter. Why do you wonder they are the same price in sensah? Sensa is just honest with pricing. Shimano is ridiculous.
@immikemx2 жыл бұрын
Just adjust your expectations if you get Sensah, be aware that it might be cheap, almost disposable. The only one that might be worth having is the empire
@rosomak8244 Жыл бұрын
This is definitively not true. They are robust and reliable. The work mechanically just fine. There is no rocket science involved when it comes to pull a wire line a well defined amount.

Nah... Just comparing weight is not accurate. Of course things get lighter when you use inferior materials. Cheap plastic is just lighter. I still would prefer Shimano because you get quality for your money. That's a fact

No it isn't. SHIMANO is obviously artificially ranging the pricing depending on supposed market gauging. The group sets with less gears are heavier for no particular technical reason.

These type of carbon shifters and brake levers are very dangerous and should come with hazard warning. As the aluminium eats away at the carbon. The rider is breathing in microdeposits of dangerous carbon fibre particles. Stay away from carbon fibre for health & safety reasons
