This is marvelous. I absolutely like this brilliant idea of the walk-through as you place the layout with the red dot that moves as you move. this gives the viewer a better understanding of where you are on the yacht as you explain the details. I hope this concept catches on.

The crew were absolutely charming and really added to the video making it seem more personal. The yacht itself, though stunning, was not overly extravagant allowing it to maintain a very comfortable and home like feel. Bravo David and to your film crew a hearty well done.

It's a nice size galley for sure, but with no windows, so especially with the dark granite, it's very dark in there. I'm not a fan of the 'nice like a home' galley. It's NOT a home kitchen, it's a galley on a ship, and the most important thing is fire safety, hence the use of stainless steel usually. Stone is fine of course, wood is not. Safety comes first!
Great tour of a lovely vessel, David. That said, this yacht does have some heavy competition with Gallant Lady sitting right there in the background!

Nice yacht. I particularly liked the size of the sky lounge. I know a light airy modern interior is very popular today, but I prefer a darker more classic interior. I suppose it matches my dark and classic personality. )) I guess I am 3rd, so I get a medal, right?

A beautiful yacht at a fair price with a lot of unique features. Perhaps there's an alternate way of storing the tenders?
@jacobyrassilon Жыл бұрын
I mean for all of the amenities that you get, I'd say $25M is a pretty good price, especially if you were going to use it for charter. I prefer something a little smaller and more rugged for personal use (like a Bering 85 or Numarine 32XP), but a company could use this to wine and dine potential clients as well as use it for charters to help offset the operating costs. But it is nice to dream)

Another great walkthrough David, and please use that GA, have to get the lingo right, for all future videos especially larger yachts as it is very useful. Almost got yourself locked in the wine store. Which would have been a tragedy…. if you didn’t have a corkscrew. Or are they going screw cap like we are doing here in Australia. Almost impossible to find a bottle with a cork even at the higher price point.

Good evening, and thank you for your work, it's a pleasure to watch your videos. I have a question regarding the cost of the superyachts and megayachts: why is it more expensive to build a yacht than a luxury cruise ship, relatively speaking ? For example, "The world", measuring 644.2’ (length), 98’ (width), and 22’ (draft) for a 43,520 GT cost a total of $366 million. The source here is cruisehive, I don't know how accurate they are but the prices they give for other boats seem to match the listed price on Wikipedia. The world can host 150~200 persons with a crew of 280, and has many luxury suits. I think Nord cost $500 million, for example, but is much smaller.

I sat on my hands for a while, but now I can't keep it in any longer... 'crew is trained in close unarmed combat'... well, that's great, if they have an out-of-control guest, or a drunk loses his way and waddles up the passerelle. But, if there's an actual threat to the ship (as in piracy), you better believe it will be armed, in which case you put neither guests nor crew in harms way. It's all hands down to the 'safe room', and from what I've seen on the GA (on Fraser), the entire lazarette area can likely function as such. Having an alternate 'helm station' in engineering is common enough (should be standard if it isn't), you could lose function of the bridge for any number of reasons (fire, rogue wave or what not). All of which should be standard safety procedure.

Mr David Seal, as much as I like your "walkthroughs" I opine that they biased to the charter market and in my words, unprofessional, not fit for purpose! My view is that you need to lift your game. I do appreciate that N&Js primary market is the charter one BUT if N&J want to sell yachts on the open market, then your strategy is dumb! Why do you discourage the owners who want to privately own and occupy a superyacht and travel the Seven Seas? What happens to 10 or 15 year old superyachts used primarily for week long charters when more modern, better yachts become available? I note that you have started showing the GA, the General Arrangement on your walkthroughs, that others have done, better! I will say that I never watch a walkthrough without searching out a GA or deck plan. I like to gain a holistic view of the entire boat, not the glitz and glamour of a few shots or vignettes. As a potential purchaser of a multi million dollar yacht I want an comprehensive overview and detail where it matters. Forgive me but I like food so I absolutely need to see a good galley and how food is stored, cooked and distributed, that chef is nearby. And as someone who would primarily be a live aboard owner with roaming the World a 10 year vision, I'd be wanting a semi or permanent crew that I'd want to be accommodated properly, suitably for long voyages, Something that I don't see usually provided for.
