Beautifully read. Just a note on chapter 49, I believe the manuscript reads: “Had my mother given me some active profession when I was removed at eighteen from the care of Mr. Pratt, I think--nay, I am sure, it would never have happened; “ This reading says ‘had my brother given’ Edwards younger brother would not have given him a profession, he was under his MOTHER’S authority, poor guy.
