I really enjoyed the scenes when they appeared to each other when one was alone - it showed a sense of friendship and companionship that emulates a love most of us has forgotten, lost, or fortunately experienced + all the scenes when they showed all of them together - presenting a sense of family, a bond unbreakable by tradition, laws of physics, or anything.

I think the best aspect of the show was how it reflected that they would all drop literally everything to be there for another one of them. Like when they all showed up to help Wolfgang not die, it was pretty awesome.

Scott N I’m watching the show for the 2nd time. They have a bond and true love for one another that sadly most of us will never experience. I think there’s a line where Wolfgang says it best. It’s when Felix was in the hospital and he referred to him as his brother. Not by blood but by choice which was even greater (or something like that).

This show brought tears to my eyes so many times. My God, the chemistry, the beautiful rapport they all showed with and toward one another. Impossible to "act" this way. There was something, MANY things about them all that were so real, so alive, so vibrantly human. I fell in love with them, all of them, over and over. There is so MUCH here that showed the enormous range of colors in the human spectrum: love and courage, honor and dignity, incredible strength and terrible fragility. The courage to admit that you're mortal, the strength to confess your weakness, the blazing honesty that made them more than human, better, the way we all should be with one another, with friends and family, loved ones, our neighbors and yes, even perfect strangers. And behind it all, the consummate mad genius of Lana Wachowski and her sister Lily, the deft sure hand of J. Michael Straczynski, all guiding the narrative. Storytelling at its finest--because all great narratives are always and forever about the PEOPLE, for the people. Wouldn't it be nice? All of you, be honest with me, even though you don't know me and never will: wouldn't it be nice if we could all be this way? To be able to open our hearts to each other, without fear or reserve, let each and every one of us see each and every one of us as we really are? Don't be scared, because we are all human, even though there are dark shades and dark shadows within all of us. Because we can help us all heal one another, disinfect the darkness with light and fresh air so that we may never again need to fear each other, never hide, never be alone, ever again. Wouldn't it be nice?

Its starts with one idea, it starts with one voice. And the sound will echo through time. It wont just happen because of sense8, it'll start because we start first. We cant see it now, but we do these things little by litte maybe just maybe our generation, the next one and the one after will see it this way. Want to start it with each other? Because that's the power of human connection.
@Trans9094 жыл бұрын
@@doubleambition5211 Wow, I couldn't have said that better. You're absolutely correct. Start with one, even start with a small handful. Then BUILD. You know that most people don't believe that incremental change works, right? Instant gratification: they want it NOW, yesterday. It doesn't work that way and you seem to be one of the very few I've encountered here or elsewhere that knows the truth. At last. Another smart, compassionate soul. Good to know ya, Double Ambition. Look me up on Facebook or Google me. I've been preaching this gospel for years. I think this might be the beginning of a beautiful friendship.

More accurately, because the budget for filming in as many places and as often as they did was beyond enormous and the target audience was relatively narrow, not by design, but by philosophy(I mean, how many people would turn off this show as soon as they see Amanita/Nomi having sex in their first scene together and when they find out Nomi is trans? Not to mention when Lito's sexuality is revealed and the various diverse relationship types unfold). So you've got an already limited audience, a weird and unique concept for a show that some people won't be into, and then you add in that you have 8 actors minimum who constantly need to be flown between four continents(Europe, Asia, Africa, North America) not including other crew who maybe need to be flown around.... it adds up pretty quickly. Sense8 was a startlingly beautiful show in how it succeeded in making all of its characters so painfully human. I love it to death. But I completely understand why it didn't get the seasons it deserved, and it's saddening to see some of the storylines being set up in Season 2 for future seasons that all have to be tied up or discarded in the finale(the Korean minister helping Sun's brother as well as her possibly returning to head her father's company, Nomi's father but not mother accepting her, Lito's first Hollywood movie, Capheus' election/political station and ongoing rivalry with Superpower, Will's possible return to the States/Police Force, Riley's slowly growing connections to the Archipelago, Wolfgang's role in the power struggle in Berlin, the rest of Lila's cluster, and Ajay's threat levelled against Rajan and Kala all being the main future points I'd consider) I would give a *great* deal for a Season 3, but honestly? I'd prefer it if the finale was modified or treated as if it didn't happen if a Season 3 happened. Too many plot threads were tied up or ignored. I hope we get more, but I know it's not likely.

@@perrycarters3113 Its narrow "philosophical" audience was precisely why it has so much truth and power, and why it was, and remains, so important. The messages it sent sreally shouldn't just be pertinent to a narrow philosophical audience. I know for a fact I am a better person for having watched Sense8, it challenged me on so many level I had no choice but to re-evaluate so many of of the assumptions I had not just about other people, but also - and perhaps more importantly - about myself. I do agree with your comments on the cost of the show, but I wonder if the show could now be made more financially viable by the kinds of technology they are using on The Mandalorian for example.

A great song in combination with a great TV Show. Sense8 is one of a kind especially on its diversity and multicultural aspect. I wish it would've lasted longer but for however short it might be, it certainly got the job well-done by projecting a beautiful message of connection and inclusion. It is not included in this video but the show's main title sequence is one of the most outstanding sequences I've seen.

Vahneimoi Singsit They had to. The show was originally cancelled before the end of the last season. There were so many fan requests and a lot of begging from producers and the cast (from what I understand, I could be wrong) that like a year later Netflix allowed them a 2hr series finale. For some people it was satisfying enough to tie up loose ends yet leave openings for spin offs. I’m not disappointed in the ending but I do wish it wasn’t canceled to begin with.
