Certainly looks that way. I knew about him in the 1990s. From martial art mags and via kung fu training. Pre internet days. Didnt know how good he really was until very recently. He is definitely better than most. And all the names linked with martial arts and professional fighting he was less talked about. I suspect due to his formidable next level ability, quiet self assurance and single mindedness. Plus he could kick most ass large or small. I doubt hollywood or anyone could switch is attitude or thinking. So this might explain less publicity. He is a real warrior/martial artist. Ef a arsylwi bywyd Bruce Lee could not have competed in kickboxing and bring the jet was competing in kickboxing because there was no kickboxing when Bruce Lee was alive in the United States he cannot have competed in MMA cuz there was no MMA in the United States him being an actor was not something he was allowed to do because he was Chinese when he got into the Green Hornet it was perfect for him because he had to cover his face there is no such thing as martial arts choreography in the US when he was acting and he wasn't allowed to continue acting in the US at that time and he had to go over to Hong Kong to do his movies you clearly are not educated about martial arts and all you probably want to do with me would be argue but I would totally be down to show you proof and if you'd ever like to meet in person and writing and inspiring in fact we could just fight but that's something I want to do May you're all talk

Ef a arsylwi bywyd oh and one more thing we know who the real fighter is cuz Benny the jet is given Bruce Lee respect and you're not we know who Bruce Lee is we know who Benny the jet is we don't know who you are how would you like it if you knew martial arts and you had no other way of making yourself famous or making a name for yourself except for going into movies because there's no internet there's nothing but TV movies and the newspaper so when you're talking be careful what you're talking about

Robert Liberty I know when Benny Urquidez fought you jackass. Lol! Modern competitve kickboxing has been around since the early 60s in Japan, but goes back 400 years or more. Bruce lee could have been a pioneer for not only JKD but competitive kickboxing. Yes, he did train and was an incredible athlete and I pay my respects to him once a year since I live close to the Lakeview Cemetery. What we do not have is evidence of Bruce Lee fighting competively or at all really. He sparred a few times, but that doesn't compare to the experienced Benny Urquidez has had. You missed the hypothetical implication that I apparently very cleverly hid in my passing comment.

Well lets see, Clint Eastwood was a dich digger before he became a actor Bruce Lee was a actor before he became a martial arts expert who then made a few very succesfull films useing his acting experience!!!!

Benny is soo humble. I can never forget watching a you tube video where he held a kicking pad for Chuck Norris and how he said Wow! Then shook his hand like it was hurt to make Chuck feel good. The kick was obviously lack any power lol. This many is humble, nice, gentleman and a good human being.
