On April 26th, 2014, Sensei Tariel Nikoleishvili took on an incredible challenge: the 100-Man Kumite. This test of human spirit and strength requires its participants to fight against 100 different opponents from around the world in 90-second matches. Sensei Tariel faced this daunting challenge head-on with courage and determination. He completed the 100 Man Kumite to become the 9th person to accomplish this incredible feat. In total, it took 3 hours and 21 min to complete, and the following is the official count:
Win by Ippon or Awase-Ippon: 21
Win by Wazaari: 30
Win by decision: 13
Draw: 27
Lost by decision: 9
Sensei Nikoleishvili, who was then only 23 years old, commented "Kyokushin Karate is everything to me. I dedicated my entire life to challenge today."
Everyone was deeply moved by Nikoleishvili's incredible accomplishment, and at the closing ceremony, many people had tears in their eyes to honor this powerful Kyokushin example of courage and determination.
