If my understanding of 'boosted' is the same as yours then this video would prove the opposite. I finished 2 places higher than I should have if we were strictly placing off online rank. Admittedly I'm not familiar with the term boosted so you might be talking about something else

But it can also be used as a joke for someone losing or as another way to say "you're so bad". Of course I'm joking here, you're obviously a great player.
