Hurrah! I love Flemish speaking ASMR videos. It's such a beautiful language. It's like an Elf whispering in your ear.

You realize Flemish isnt a language right ? Its like a dutch dialect or i think atleast thats how its classified only real difference is slightly diffrent pronunciation think of it as english vs american english
@camb72259 ай бұрын
You realize there's no scholarly distinction between languages and dialects, right? The criteria is supposed to be mutual intelligibility, but that's subjective. Different linguists will disagree about whether the same spoken system should be classified as one or the other. You coming on here to act condescending to someone expressing their delight in ASMR is a weird flex, especially when you don't know yourself.

Ahh I love when you do videos in other languages besides English. I love the sound of your voice but sometimes I can't process words and do other things at the same time, so this is a perfect background video

@JimJam8008 if English is your native language, soft spoken ASMR in a foreign language works well if you're using it as background while doing other tasks. Otherwise you focus on the English meaning

Dear sir/ma'am, I don't wish to start a language war on the specifics of Dutch and Flemish language, but as someone who lives 21 years in Flanders (Ghent) I can attest you with all the honors that she indeed speaks Flemish. A language that was autonomous and dignified right up to the 1980s when the Dutch Language Union was established and Flemish was dishonoured and turned into "a dialect". We who speak Flemish do not want to be belittled and humiliated and compared to secondhand language users. So please, be kind and just jeet the assumptions out of the window and let us have our own thing.
