This one is a love for me as well. The first few times I wore it I thought it was too feminine. And ironically I've heard a lot of women say it's too masculine. But now I believe there are elements to it that that are both feminine and masculine so if you pick out the floral notes then yes you might consider it a little feminine, and the Woody notes could be considered masculine. But it treads the line very well and is super unique

I'd definitely recommend Halfeti Leather if you're looking for something a little more masculine with the same Halfeti DNA :) it's my favourite of the line

Exactly the same reaction from my wife re halfeti. So I tend not to wear it that often. After listening to you about wearing a perfume because it projects who you are. I’m going to use Halfeti more often.

This was love at first sniff. I bought a penhaligans sample kit and this was incredible. I only sprayed it once and it was wonderful in all its phases. I'm an oud and rose girl. This is definitely full bottle worthy for me. Great review. New to your channel

Great review. I own a full bottle of Halfeti recently purchased. I had heard about it and went to the store to test it. It blew me away with its very complex mix of florals spices and musks with a twist of oud holding it all together. It lasts forever on clothes which is an advantage👍🏻

Both Cedrat and Halfeti as awesome choice’s! Funny, I’ve never tried using Cedrat as a fall/winter fragrance. I find that this one pops for me beautifully in Summer (mind you, I also love wearing Halfeti in summer too😍. Still yet to explore Musc Ravageur. I was surprised when majority said that this smells masculine. I am a woman and I definitely like this scent. I think I can pull it off during court hearings or board meetings. It smells powerful and whoever wears it, I will have an assumption that he/she have high standards for anything in life.

Totally agree with you Audrey. I find that this fragrance works well on a man; not too floral (it’s the perfect touch). Interestingly, I've never considered this as a female fragrance. It is listed on both the male and female section, and I've only smelt it on male friends. I can't imagine it as a female scent! Have you tried Mr Sam by Penhaligons? A smoother tobacco and vanilla base, but with similarities. Perhaps your wife will prefer it with less oud

I feel that House's still need to distinguish if a fragrance is either Masculine or Feminine as this is such a big deal within the 'designer' fragrance's (I have a number of friends who are coming into Niche that still struggle with the unisex concept😂) But yes, Halfeti is comfortably a fragrance for anyone. I personally wanted to try one of the Halfetis, but it's cool to get 4 more from the brand. Maybe one of those I didn't even think about getting will become one of my go-tos. They have a ladies collection as well. Good for testing the fragrance, small gifts, or 5 stocking stuffers.

Hello from Bahrain, thank you for this excellent video, really appreciate it. This scent combo (in Arabic traditions) is classified and considered as absolutely masculine. Such scent profile has been available forever in the Arabian Gulf and is linked to male 30+ years old. Nowadays anyone can wear what they like, but to me this is not a unisex scent by any mean.

I don't know if you can answer this question or if you'll even see it my body type perfumes do not last on me the ones that do last are cocoa by Chanel, light blue and my favorite which doesn't last on me at all is Miss Dior I love the way it smells but it doesn't last on me is there something I can do to make perfumes last longer or is my chemistry just that way I don't know how else to describe it

Great to hear from you Lise and this is a common question. It could be your body chemistry. I know that my wife experience's this with some fragrance's (but only rarely) Another possible point is that you could be going 'nose blind' to the perfume (meaning that you're spraying too close to your face/nose that your brain is shutting out that scent profile). Out of interest, when you no longer can smell your perfume, have you asked others around you if they can detect your fragrance? If they can, then, yes you're going nose blind. If this is the case, then my recommendation is to spray away from your nose and neck line. Retrain your nose. Short answer is 100% YES Cairo is very much a 'rose' fragrance. Whereas Halfeti has a subtle rose that is unique and even to the point of being indiscernible....2 very different perfumes. I don't own Mr Sam. I would recommend to you Naxos by Xerjoff instead. I feel that Naxos does it better in that 'Tobacco/Woody' space. But please test first. Maybe for you Mr Sam resonates better. Go more with 'do I love it' For me Halfeti is amazing. I love wearing it. Unisex by definition means for a man and woman... And while a lot of people say "wear what you like" I don't know if that is the best advice because I like some very feminine perfumes on women but would never dream of wearing them. But if it's not obviously masculine or feminine then it should be fine. And even if it is and you want to wear a woman's perfume than do it. You just might get some strange looks.

Good review as always, but I have to disagree about the male/female scent silos. At the end of the day its all about marketing and you can sell more product by saying "anyone" can wear it! I personally like the differences for the sexes which is what makes them all special. Not to sound like a hypocrite as you know I sport a few unisex fragrances myself, choices made based largely on your erudite recommendations.

If you love Patchouli, have you tried one called Psychedelic by Jovoy? Paris niche house, and they take their patchouli really seriously. I've only recently discovered this House and this particular fragrance is next level amazing! Yes, I'm a big fan of Penhaligon's too, they have an exceptional range (something for everyone). My nose isn't that refined, so I'm personally not picking up any patchouli notes in Halfeti (I had a look at the note profile on this fragrance and I'm not seeing patchouli either...so not sure?). You mentioned that you love the Penhaligon's range, today I had the chance to fully test drive The Inimitable William Penhaligon...totally awesome!! It's a wonderful Vetiver inspired scent, with amazing sillage....in the space of no time I was receiving compliments on how good I smelt. It's designated as a 'male' fragrance, but hey Halfeti is designated as a 'female' fragrance and I love wearing it (you wear what you love). All the best Cheryl, speak soon
