And than it even intensifies when so many people speak about it it is a form of witchcraft or when people gather together and talk about a person adding their own perceptions or asociations with it and it can truely affect the persons life…gossips can change a view on a persons character or point out a flaw that noone even payed attention to in first place it’s diabolic🤢

I will continue to listen to his videos for the education, but some things we ought to sort OUT. . Complicit silence in the face of EXPLICIT heresy of any cleric, at any level, is sinful, an act of cowardice. Canon law 212 gives Catholics both the right and the DUTY to denounce and correct the heresy/error of a cleric: "expose the works of darkness to the light of day." Better there be scandal than the truth be suppressed." Pope St. Felix.

The serpent, the “nahash” is a divine being. Scholars have realized the word it’s a triple entendre that points to characteristics of a divine being and not that of a talking animal or the devil masking as a talking animal. Eve would’ve probably seen these beings before since she’s in the garden of God and that’s why she’s not surprised to see one.

I thought the animals did talk before the fall so it wasn’t unusual for the serpent to talk. It was just unusual for the serpent to beguile by saying that God was wrong to tell them they would not die if they ate of the tree. Adam, being the covering of Eve and responsible for her well being, and seeing that the serpent entered from outside and knowing it was denying God’s word to them, Adam should have been saying to Eve, “Wait! Stop! Don’t! Instead he sinned along with her.

A non-trad priest told us to wear dresses because a dress is more of becoming woman. Do I wear pants? Yes, sometimes. But I grew in habit to put on a skirt. Calling me, and others who followed this priest advice, haughty, is a rush judgment, the very thing Fr Ripperger has just talking about.

Now a dress is haughty? Seems our society has long become.deeply mired in " inverted snobbery or judgment." Heaven forbid, what a negative shocker, to see a woman wearing a nice hat to church or other nice place. But it is acceptable to see a woman in a hat as long as it's a baseball hat, and jeans w riips. Yeah, a woman in a dress at. church is haughty...
@MissPopuri
@MissPopuri 3 жыл бұрын
By no means are we to do such things! Cultivate a disposition that is worthy of wearing a skirt or dress. The same goes for chapel veils, it is promoting the value of chastity and honoring the sacred in yourself not worrying about whether some Vernacular Mass is promoting heterodox thinking or congregants are anxious about whether some Chinese style rule is going to come to the United States. It is true that we should be wary of China’s enforcement metrics, but the attitude that is adopted by instituted laws in that country has been fruitful to say the least. Not as fruitful if they had more freedoms perhaps, this is an entirely different story.

@@MissPopuri I can't follow what you are trying to say, but today we have the feast of Pope Linus who made it an official law of the Church that women MUST cover their heads in Church under pain of sin. This law is also Scriptural and of Apostolic origin; therefore no pope has the power to change it. Today is also the feast of St. Padre Pio who would yell at women who came in to Church improperly dress. NO woman would dare come to visit his church in pants, a short skirt, or without her arms covered! Hurray for Padre Pio!

I am glad Catholics bring their children to the sermons with them as opposed to Protestant churches where kids are separated into little play rooms (I came from Protestantism). I told my 5 year old I bring her in with the adults and listen to what I listen to just as I would want her to eat off my plate with vegetables, teach her how to use cutlery properly than sitting at a kids table or ordering from kids menu. Child grows best eating what their parents eat. They learn healthy eating and behavioral habits. Same in the spiritual aspect.

Jesus said BRING THE CHILDREN. I once heard a priest say when a child cries out at mass it makes him happy to know the young family is there. If we focus on our relationship and prayers we barely hear the children; and being no. 9 of 11 FAMILY brings smiles 😃 to my face. I know how often I distrupted the Holy Mass when I was a naughty child and I owe it to GOD to pay back my debt for my many failures. Bring on the children. I love them 💗

Yes, one of twelve. If one of the little ones was fussy they were carried out by big brother or sister till it passed. We sat, knelt, stood quietly under Dads watchful eye. His devotion was so exemplary, with head bowed and gently turning the onion skin pages of his missal. Mother usually had an infant to tend. The older boys were generally serving. The rest of us really kept each other in line. On occasion a baby cry could be heard somewhere in church. But it was soon hushed or drifted outside. Today, to hear a baby cry in Church is a joyful blessing. How I wish there was a larger choir of those innocent ones in Church. It amazes me that God still has faith in humanity when I see children! God bless their parents!

Gossip is something that is not addressed at all. This is such a good talk. We should never speak badly about anyone and if we have a bad thought, say a Hail Mary. We are all guilty of gossip and our culture promotes this 24 hours. Pray for the Pope and your enemies. This is very helpful.

Praise be to God! You are absolutely correct. I have been discerning the vice of gossip-as you so rightly pointed out, we hear it everywhere and, frankly, it comes off as normal. As Catholics I’m so thankful for Father Ripperger and that he breaks it down clearly for me to understand so I can tackle my own sins and take them to Jesus in confession.

Thank you again, Fr. R. ... Malicious gossiping seems to be off the charts in prevalence and damage done everywhere. This is so good and very helpful in teaching us how to better ourselves, using biblical principles. This should be available in every school and workplace! PS - I appreciate keeping Trads on their toes, and keenly aware, especially given that Trads are supposedly searching for the truths, no matter how hard. Really important to NOT undermine the cause and truths by behaving hypocritcally. With great respect, in interest of balance.... Most Trads have likely endured accusations of trying to appear "holier than thou" so I just don't want people considering going traditional to be intimidated too much by those kinds of generalizations , or to feed too much into others who are quick to judge and label Trads negatively. But please still keep us on our toes, we all need it! (Great advice given, @ practicing to pray FOR the person we want to gossip about or who has hurt us)

The biggest gossip in my family of origin is my eldest BROTHER. It's not always women, folks. The next in line is my eldest nephew. Before I am accused of detraction, you don't know their names or where they live. I post this due to the fact that Fr. Ripperger calls out the natural flaws of women far more than men.

Regarding what goes on interiorly, I watch silent films, and I have noticed that facial expressions do seem to convey a lot. Sure, the actors mean for you to interpret their expressions, but when I am speaking to someone, I cannot help but notice what their face seems to be "saying" to me. What do you think?

I think watching silent films has increased your ability to do just what you described. Cartoonists realize this very well incorporating the appropriate facial expressions they wish to convey.

Silence is golden and thought it was just a nice line in a song. Gossiping is something that is difficult to stay away from but easy to walk away from.

As a traditionalist it’s really hard to hear this I have never heard people talk about other people or look down on others they are very kind at our church. I do know many however that strongly strongly disagree with the Pope and his Bishops it’s all very heart breaking to see knife cut after knife wound to our church and then the world comes in with the lemons to add insult to injury to our church 😢💔💔

I am usually busy with an "empty headed task" when I'm listening to videos like this, unless the pictures are part of the instruction. It could be helpful to just listen for those who find images disturbing. I can't relate to those on this site since I didn't see them, but on other Catholic sites I have wondered how some of those images could be included. Editorial sensitivity is definitely a must for a good Catholic site!

I think the lessons that bleed through from Father Ripperger are the most practical tools we can use to uphold scriptural virtues pleasing to God. It seems there are a myriad of clergy that are beautiful reciters of scripture but lack fundamental principles of practice that we desperately need. Thank you Lord for this man 🙏🏻.

A sincere question. Not trying to start an argument. I understand what gossip is and after watching the video, I think we have all been guilty of it at one time or another. Does this mean though, that if we are having a problem with family or friends, we cannot pick one trusted person to speak to about that problem and the people involved? -Saoirse, West Belfast, NI
