Father, thank you very much for this wonderful explanation of charity towards our neighbor. I’m always baffled at how people can watch someone struggle and not step in. 🤔 “No greater love is this than a man lays down his life for his friend.” Lord, grant us the grace to see with your eyes, hear with your ears, understand with your mind and love with your heart. Amen!

Great homily, thanks for posting! Our faith: it’s not just spiritual, but logical and practical as well, just a few more things to love about Catholicism. I agree that we should correct others of good will who have been misled about the Church when they are agreeable to correction. My time in seminary and the confr3nces I hear about this issue and more: Waits Told to be proactive Takes initiative Told do not take on things on my own Asked to serve Told brown nosing is wrong Spends most of the time in prayer Told to be more active. Becomes more active Told to pray more. Does not seek any position Told to have more ambition Seeks more responsibility Told ambition is prideful. Told Manhood is needed Embraces masculinity then accused of machesmo and misogynist.
