This Catholic teaching is spot on the narrow way, I love this channel. Is this how most Catholics think? Sorry if that sounds a little naive, I'm a Protestant, however I am searching for 'something'.
@jhondoe2333 жыл бұрын
Well Mr Wilke If you are searching, you have come to the right place. This Sermon is a perfect message for your journey. Saints of the Catholic Church will teach you piety, Humility, and Saintly life. I strongly recommend that you find a FSSP Latin Parish in your area, even if you have to drive an hour or so to attend. Since you are Protestant, you will need to enroll in RCIA to become Catholic which I hope you do. Why? The Church has always taught that (There is No Salvation outside the Church) In your journey you will learn and understand this Truth. May the Lord Saturate your Soul with the Holy Spirit. 🔥✝️🙏

I came into Communion with the Catholic Church in 2022 , at 65 yrs old . Born and raised Protestant . That something more you are searching for , is God causing a restlessness in your heart , to bring you home into His Church . I will pray for you . I will never look back , as the truth and rich Presence of the Lord in my life now , due to the teachings and guidance of the Church will turn your heart around and change your life . I truly had never encountered the Lord as I have in His Church . May the Lord richly bless you ! He is the One placing that discomfort within your heart … for eternal purpose ! ❤

So often in this secular world are the following words said: "Follow your feelings" when more often than not these lead us to a path of sin or, at the very least, we would not consider the choices we have carefully and thus later we find out we have erred. It is the easier path of course, so we do not have to think. Thank you for this video, I shall try my best to always give glory to God and not forget that so often, lost in my passion.

@Jacob Galvan Maybe God is calling her to work out in the world for now? We do not know that. Perhaps she is a nurse doing life-saving work, and God wants her to stick with that for now, training her to do missionary work in an impoverished country in the future. Who knows? It sounds like your advice is based off your feelings.

Great Sermon!! I've attended two Ignatian retreats and found Father's summary very understandable, particularly for those who may not be as familiar with the Ignatian Rules - so much so that I'm planning to play this for my family this weekend. The linked book above is out of print and used copies available on Amazon (and elsewhere) are very expensive. It sounded like Father referred to a simple handout/pamphlet in his Sermon. It would be extremely helpful if that were made available to listeners. Thanks so much for the inspiration, Father!!

Father I am 56 and I came back into the church in my early twenties. I used all of these methods to discern that I had a vocation to marriage and I still see that that probably would have been the best path for me in some ways maybe in some ways not however it never happened because I never met a man that I felt God was calling me to marry. I did meet a lot of very good Catholic men but not one that I felt God was calling me to marry. It was very frustrating because at the same time I did feel that God was calling me to be married and I was not willing to compromise and In some ways maybe in some ways not however it never happened because I never met a man that I felt God was calling me to marry. I did to meet a lot of very good Catholic men but not one that I felt God was calling me to marry. it was very frustrating because at the same time I did feel that God was calling me to be married and I was not willing to compromise and settle for somebody that wasn't Catholic. Sorry my text to speech and phone is just going a little crazy. So I don't know what God now was really trying to tell me. Did I hear him wrong? Was I not supposed to marry? Was I supposed to marry and I missed the person that I was supposed to marry? I don't know. Some people say it could still happen. But I'm 56 and I happened to believe that marriage is primarily for the raising of a family and I am well beyond child bearing age. So at this point it does seem rather pointless.
