This lesson is desirable. Suggestion: (1) one of the Tamil meaning for "SHINES" is "pirakasikkirathu" or "pirakaskkintrathu". (2) We have to say or write " They appointed him as Captain" instead of " They made him the captain". Because, I think the verb "MADE" is using only for "things". I request you please clarify this doubt. This is more useful for those who are watching your programmes regularly.

K G Ruthrishwar A sentence cannot be complete without a complement. For eg : John is a doctor. ( Here doctor is complement. If you remove the word, 'doctor' that sentence will not be complete.) But a sentence can be complete without an adjunct. For eg. He bought a book yesterday. - S+V+O+A. ( here 'yesterday' is adjunct. Even if you remove 'yesterday' that sentence is complete.)
