RIP Mikka. :( @firewindwiki they are two separate bands each with their own music with virtues to recommend it. Helsinki breeds that dark melodic sound... HIM started as a Black Sabbath cover band but signed to a label that pushed them to market to women. Demos, Overdrive & Venus Doom make it clear HIM can play metal.

Those men were from the head of the ice hockey team and they blocked the Finnish language song because they thought the Finnish song was about nazism and they didn't want the ice hockey team to include any kind of political issues. Sentenced was absolutely denying the nazism in their song and in my opinion there wasn't nazism. There sure was powerful words because the song was to give a good mental state for the players, but the main point of people who didn't accept the song was only one line.
