Senzo Meyiwa Murder Trial | 09 October 2023

The Senzo Meyiwa murder trial resumes again today after last week's postponement.
It was postponed to allow the defence counsel to study documents containing evidence from a cellphone analyst.
The state was expected to call the cell phone analyst last week after the cross-examination of constable Sizwe Zungu was completed.
The defence had requested a two-day postponement but Judge Ratha Mokgoatlheng moved the trial to today

Speculation... Zungu gave/sold the implicated gun to the suspects.containing them/ implicating them to the case ...if the gun owner can tell how/where/when he got that gun and from who. Zungu sold the gun...at some point it feels like the maybe there were intruders.matching or similar to some suspects.meaning the whole thing was pre meditated.well planned execution by certain group of people.and they already had the people to frame,zungu was there to make sure that he take any evidence and during that phase he mustnt interfere with any activity done by the suspects until he has a story that might relate to the case... The judge is well chosen to execute a certain task by driving the case in a certain direction by controlling the defense...even if he fail or it become exposed that he is doing that, it will not have any effect in his career,he is already retired...

Mina I am puzzled by the State stands on the case. Why isn't Mr Baloyi doing everything to prove who killied Senzo by exhausting all possible witnesses that are aligned to the case and have potential of providing proof of what transpired on the day in question. Really the defence ethical behavior and handling of the case is questionable. The defense seems to direct and accept the list of witnesses which seems to favour and protect all who were with Senzo. This is absolutely ridiculous.

@Valencia Shongwe there’s still more to come and witness here and my friends you have to relax because there will be a lot of surprises here trust me on that, seemingly like you really don’t follow court proceedings my friend, the defence has/have no control on what the state prosecutor or how many state witnesses will come and testify sisi. The magistrate has to work with the state prosecutor in terms of directives and of course the defence but the presiding officer/magistrate has to oversee the movements or decorum of the court …
