Thank you so much for sharing this information. I have been struggling to get my SEO right and this was very helpful. I have some question I was hoping you can answer for me. 1st- can you explain the bounce rate on your shopify analytics and its effects on your conversations. 2nd- does adding customer reviews from one platform to another (taking Etsy reviews and adding them to your shopify store) have an effect on google or your shopify store? 3rd- when doing product descriptions, what is the best format and layout that is more google friendly? (Ex. bullet points, multiple paragraphs, bold words and number of headings, repeated information across all your product listings such as shipping times and return policies, etc). 4th- any suggestions on getting people to sign up for your email list? I have offered Free Shipping with Purchase, Discounts, Etc and still my email sign up does not convert. Thank you in advance for your time and for sharing this much needed information that was easy to understand.

Hiii! So glad this was helpful!!! Gonna try to answer these as best I can without getting into the weeds lol 1). The bounce rate on Shopify is essentially the percentage of visitors who land on your website and leave without clicking on any other pages or products. So it’s like they got to your site and maybe couldn’t find what they wanted or your site didn’t match what they were looking for, etc. This can naturally happen. Just a part of doing business online. But if it’s too high, you’ll prob want to consider the experience you’re giving your site visitors 2). Customer reviews are SUPER helpful especially when they’re left on the actual product page. If you’re snagging them from other places and putting them in page copy it can help conversions & bulk up content for search engine bots a bit. So, never a bad thing as long as they make sense where you put them. 3) Product description formatting: everything you mentioned is helpful! Making them readable, scannable, easily digestible while being helpful is best. Shipping times & return policy; this depends on your design. Accordions are good so the content is there or I’ve just seen clients add a link to those pages with that info. Def good for user experience tho to have something with them. 4) Email marketing isn’t my specialty so I’m not too sure honestly bc I haven’t had my hands in testing this. As a user, discounts entice me to sign up, and having the option to be added to the list when I checkout is cool bc I like the brand enough to purchase so being on their email list isn’t a big jump. As an SEO 'guru' since the early 2000s, SEO is dead. It's not the same because Google has manipulated their search engine so much that you cannot really show up on the 1st pages unless you are certain types of websites and they've put local search map results as the priority. And if you notice, she couldn't tell you that any of this will help you sell more and that's because SEO doesn't. Google also likes to change their rules ever so often, too.
