Unavoidably, I am Seojun and Jugyeong shipper. I've been aiming to cheer myself up by watching k-dramas, known for delivering straight forward, one season only entertaiment, but I guess it's just my luck that I keep rooting for the second leads. This time however, there was nothing I could do to avoid it 😪 These two are my favorite part of the webtoon, their relationship is literally frenemies to friends to lovers excellece, and in the k-drama even though the dynamics is a bit different, they're still the ones who get along best, and there's way too much reference from source material for me to be able to help it.
Plus, look at them!
I also ship her with Suho (it kinda hurt me to edit that 'he don't deserve you' part haha), but these two just cater to very specific interests of mine, and I'm a sucker for angst, so here you have it.
This edit is pretty simple, I made it quickly to get it out of my system, but I actually love it cause the song just hits where it's supposed to.

bruh suho never got a chance but when he does you HAVE to say something I appreciate Seojun he’s a great second lead. Still, he’s not the one for Kyung or the right person as people keep trying to say, he and Suho are still equal on terms with who she should be with. The person she cares about is Suho; the person she loves/wants is Suho. She’s not thought of Seojun in that way so respect it. There is so much more going on in this show than this love triangle, so much more to discuss and fight for, each character is human and makes their mistakes, but they’re all so understandable and relatable, and the pain they suffer is just insane, the psychological trauma they all hold is too much to bare, and I really hope they find their way out of this

Seojun is the realistic representation of falling in love with someone. It's slow and steady at the start but once you reach the peak it accelerates like the drop of a roller coaster. He initially never noticed Jugyeong and only paid attention to her because of his rivalry with Suho but as he got to know her better, he slowly learned more about her idiosyncrasies (silly antics like roaring, weird habits like finishing the drink from the mouth of the cup) and fell in love with her slowly for who she is! Such an organic process, and he only got to know her through the time and effort he spent getting to know her in and outside of school and now at the part-time job. Seojun understands her frustrations, worries and desires and he unconditionally supports her at the expense of his own time and feelings. This is true love!

Honestly, I feel she is more herself when she is with Seojun than with Suho, despite him not knowing her true face. They roast each other, joke around and have fun together. Their scenes are always lively and hilarious. People will argue that she behaves like a dork around Seojun because she has no romantic feelings towards him. Well Yes, that is very true. But just imagine a love built out of such friendship. She has already shown Seojun all her antics, weird and crazy personalities and now he knows her true face too, and he still loves her. If you ask me, Seojun is the one who knows Jungkung better. She is always cautious around Suho. But I,m not implying that Suho is not good for her. WE have all seen how sweet he is and that he very much deserves her. My point is, What could be between Jungkyung and Seojun is a love story that could be so magical and passionate. i swear at least a thousand of these views are from me. i can't describe how emotional this edit makes me. i have always been team seojun but the way hwang in yeop played this character was just so undeniably amazing. he took all of the best parts of seojun and made it better. this edit just proves the weight of seojun's feelings to jugyeong and how much of a good friend he was to her. he may have had certain flaws, but he was so good to jugyeong. he took the time to take care of her, pick up the pieces of her heart that suho would break. he was so strong to just sit there and listen to her say she liked suho, he didn't do anything, just continued to comfort her. maybe he didn't have the secret that suho and jugyeong shared (her bare face), but from the very beginning, we knew he wouldn't have an issue with it because of gowoon. when he did find out, not only did he not care, he took lengths to make sure whoever made jugyeong suffer paid the price. seojun treated her like normal, and the one time he did mention it, he told her she looked just the same. you could tell that her confidence increased tenfold. and even though seojun still tried to shoot his shot at the end of the drama, he knew just how much jugyeong liked suho, and when the latter came back, he decided to settle things once and for all and push jugyeong towards him. han seojun was such a great person, he gave so much of his time, effort, and love, to someone he knew would never like him back.

SPOILER The most recent episodes 9 highlight I believe there is going to be negative tension between her and Suho as now Soo-jin likes him too. Going back to episode 8 If a guy makes you cry that’s never a good sign. Soo-jin who likes Suho has known him for 10 years it’s a developer friendship. We have to be true to ourselves Seojun has supported Jukyung through everything. From the way he cared for her when she was sick, to forming a solid, non-forced friendship with her.
