@@kullmack uhh most east asian folks use a chopstick and spoon for noodle soups and once the noodles are gone THEN they drink straight from the bowl

Your videos are so relaxing but also uplifting. Sometimes I watch not even for the recipe, really, but just to watch someone cook. And since most of the dishes you do have noodles, it's a very pleasant aesthetic!

I don't know if this is Korean, Japanese, Chinese, or something else, but my local Asian market has this seaweed soup where they leave the seaweed in (compared to this video where you take the seaweed out after soaking it in the water). They also include mussels in it, but that's it as far as I know. I know I'm not giving much information to go on, but do you happen to have an idea of what soup I'm referring to?

Sounds like miyeok-guk, Korean, seaweed soup. It's made with a different kind of seaweed, I think. Kombu is mostly only used for broth and then taken out.

Can fish oil be substituted for the anchovy? If so, how much would you use? This soup is delicious, yet I’ve never made it myself before. Thank you.

Not fish oil. Need the anchovy. If you cannot get it I guess you could use more fish sauce.
