@@SweetforS My comment was supposed to be a humourous remark. You shouldn't take it too seriously. Seowon is doing fine balancing her school life and her idol career. If you watch her interviews you would know that she's enjoying her school life, going on a school trip, playing with friends her age and learning her favourite subject like English and Science. So I don't think you should worry about her missing a childhood since she's pretty much enjoying her life right now. As for the identity crisis, I don't think you should compare her to Miley since both had different backgrounds different experiences plus Hollywood Star is not the same as a K-pop Idol. I would guarantee that in the future she's not the kind to fall into this path. Rather than Miley, I see her case the same as Boa who both debuted at a young age but Boa turned out just fine and now she's being called the Queen of K-pop.

@ depends. Each person handles this level of stress differently. It’s good to know she is at least seemingly enjoying it right now but also at 13, it’s easy to be happy with everything. I was depressed at 12-13 but hardly anyone but my mother knew it bc I masked it so well and I myself didn’t even know what I was going through until I was much older. And kpop industry isn’t that different. Both exploit children to no end, both pimp our girls to predators, both overwork their artists, and both don’t always provide proper education to their underaged artists. So we truly don’t know and it’s a very valid concern. What if she turns out like taemin? Debuted at 14 and now stressed and depressed for life? Jungkook who says he lost his childhood? He only started training at seowons current age and debuted at 15. What about hyuna who said her company took advantage of her and sexualize her? She debuted at 14. She’s overly sexual now bc she felt she had to take that back for herself. Debuting kids as young as seowon (especially with as busy schedules as they have) is never smth to be praised or talked about so lightly, so I still stand by my points. I hope the best for her, and I hope she gets to take a least a little break once they disband, and redebut again at a later age, maybe around 18, is she can finish high school properly.

@@SweetforS Sure, your concern is valid but from what I can see based on Seowon's personality, strong mindset and upbringing from her supportive and protective parents (especially her mum) I don't think she will go down a bad path. Like you said people handle stress differently and from what I can see back in UT days, she has grown to learn how to handle difficult situations and managing her emotions well. Sure, we might not know what she feels deep inside but with love and support from her fans I'm sure she will grow up well and become a good person. For Taemin and Hyuna's case, it's unfortunate but under FnF the girls seem to be well taken care of and in one interview Yoona spoke about prioritizing her school life balance and FnF so far never gave them any concept that doesn't fit their age. Also, Jungkok said it himself he never regretted debuting with BTS. Yes, sure there were hard days but he's now one of the most successful artists and all of his hard work paid off. Even Wonyoung and Boa never said she regretted debuting young (the same age as Seowon) and they have become one of the prominent names in k-pop. So everyone has had different stories different experiences different ways of handling stress and life and as for Seowon we should let her write her own story and protect and support her from afar so that she will grow up just fine.
