Legend John, thanks for sharing the nugs of knowledge with us all! I bought an Amazon centrifuge ($180 or so) and some filter tubes (found on eBay for only a few $ each) . IMPORTANT: take note of the size diameter tube that your centrifuge supports, some of the models only support very small thin tubes and it can be really hard to locate filter tubes that actually fit!! I would advise locating the filter tubes first, and then purchasing a centrifuge machine that will support the size. Some filter tubes on the market are super expensive, like more than the centrifuge machine!! so be careful you have the tubes sorted first! I managed to find some filter tubes by a brand called "Millipore" that fit, however after spinning for 20-40 mins, there was no separation because I guess the filter size was too small in the tubes I tested (mine were called 100,000 MWCO for reference), so all the material was still in the upper section. I am investigating the idea of using rosin micron bags, if anyone knows about how to use these with a centrifuge, please let me know the tec! Thanks in advance and happy vaping everyone

Ok this is an amazing tutorial. If I'm not mistaken the best benefit of separating them is so that the terps don't get modified during the decarb. That cart looked so delicious filled! This tech has been used to separate thca from terps for a good while now. We've been doing it since 2016. You can modify bowls on other centrifuges and process a lot more at the same time. There’s also centrifuges with cooling capabilities, spinning produces heat in the process and partially decarbs thca.

@@IchDuForeverExplorering No, your end product will still have them but they’ll end up in your terps, more than in your thca. I’m not even sure how you dewax and purify solventless, I’maure it’s possible, but it’s easy with hydrocarbons. If you’re working in lab with all the right safety precautions, tools, etc, you can mix your crude with fresh solvent in a mason jar, mix well until oil is dissolved, and winterize it in sub zero temps/cryo freezer. -80c works fastest and best. -40c works but takes longer. Once the terps and thca have separated in main jar, pour oil through brown coffee filter into another jar, thca should remain in jar or fall onto paper filter. Mix both terps and thca that have been separated into separate jars with fresh clean solvent, and freeze and filter again at least 3-4 times. This process is better than using centrifuges because you’re using subzero temps to separate terps and thca, you maintaining more of the terps and have white powdery thca.

you can use rosin bags instead of the filter tube if you'd like it to go a bit faster! I've noticed your terps will be very thick if done in this manner as more thca is able to get through the filter, but if you have live resin with decent chunkers, using rosin bags will save ya a couple hours in the centrifuge, and less centrifuge time means less time heating your terps up.

There is a way to do this on a large industrial scale with winery equipment using a screw press a screen and a centrifuge and an organic solvent. It’s possible to do the reaction cold to hot to put different terpenes into aromatic suspension it can be done in an oxygen free environment to ensure maximum plant aroma carry over and bio active material. Nuclearisation is also possible with hydrogen gas.

Freshly harvested cannabis (not dried or cured) Solvent (usually butane, which is highly flammable and dangerous to work with) Extraction tube or system Purging equipment (like a vacuum oven) Freezer Safety equipment (gloves, goggles, outdoor workspace) however, if u want to make BHO (Butane Hash Oil) but make it qualify as ''live resin'' just use freshly harvested bud and subject it to below freezing temp. and your bho is live and that can be done for maybe $500 or less.

Great to see that this professional centrifuge can't handle litle imbalances. I use a 5ton cnc lathe as a centrifuge. It can easily spin up with a static imbalance in access of 100kg 😂 so my DIY verson works better than the real thing😁 But it's great to have someone explain the proces clearly. Good video.
