Bro in the old games, a lot more gore was actually shown. I remember that this trend started back in Re5 or 6 where simple things like decapitation got censored literally by moving the camera. I hope you actually played the old games

Exactly what I've been saying. There were some good ones, like the chainsaw decapitation and Novistador death, but most of the other deaths consisted of the character getting hit and falling over with barely any blood splatter. They were overall pretty tame. As a whole the deaths in the remake are far more gruesome and brutal, with so much more detail as well.

Actually it's light being refracted and reflected to an extremely high ratio and angle that it becomes so hot it can cut through nearly anything although it being artificial light rather than natural sunlight it could be much hotter than sunlight being angled into a magnifying glass but that is just me speculating the physics of a video game and not doing this in real life 🥲😅

I disagree with a lot of people here, the one with the drill is kind of horrifying tbh. Think about how desperate you would be in that situation, to think that maybe just maybe, if you deflect it enough with your knife it will somehow stop. Those kinds of deaths always feel more impactful to me

There's no impact when there's no visible damage on the character model. This isn't PS1 era. The tech exists to make things look real. She should have looked like she got hit by a MK fatality. Instead, she has a red patch on a fully intact body.

What's the point in not even showing the damage of death properly? In the original Leon's campaign for example, what I was most looking forward to in the remake in terms of deaths, was to see the death of the novistador, Leon's face is completely deformed and melted. What's a horror game without good gore? and right when we're talking about Resident Evil 4. I'm not saying that the remake was bad, far from me saying that, it's incredible, what disappointed me was that the deaths weren't more detailed, in the end everything was the same, just the body falling on the ground and the camera focusing on the monster.

I’d just say one thing. In a world where Mortal Kombat fatalities exist, there’s absolutely no excuses for a modern horror game with awesome graphics like this to have such lackluster deaths. No impact whatsoever aside from four or five. Plus the “you are dead” screen without any haunting sound or fade-out is also quite uninspired.
