I’m 64, and have been a Journey fan since I was 18 in 1977, a few months before Steve Perry joined the band. They are my favorite band ever, and Steve Perry’s voice is unmatchable. I have never heard justice done to Steve’s unique sound until last night on American Idol (Megan Danielle sang Faithfully with Steve Perry’s gravel and perfect pitch), and today, you have matched the perfect pitch, tone, and beauty of his voice. Plus, the instruments were perfect, Neal Schon’s riffs, Ross Valory’s bottom, Steve Smith’s beats, and Jonathon’s keys. I’ve waited for this since Steve left the band. Thank you😊

You should listen to Deen Castronovo sing it. He's their drummer. Look up Journey through Time 2019 (I think) Neal Schon gets Deen, Gregg Rolie, Marco Mendoza, and Chris don't know his last name. Find the 2 hour one, it's longer and they do songs from Journey's first few albums and then some from their albums after. Deen sings and drums. I think he does an awesome job!

Strong musicianship. Hardened up just enough to feel modern and refreshed. Steve Perry leaves some VERY large shoes to fill as every line oozes emotion. She does an adequate job of delivering the vocal line. The chorus does feel hollow without harmony or passion to sell it imo. As I say, big shoes to fill. In all, solid outting!
