Separating mares and trailering them to their pastures is all part of our breeding process. Sometimes it can take us a couple of weeks to get everything sorted out. Stallions go out in May and we’ll gather each set of mares again.

Wife.....Some of those mares look pretty darn close Danielle, have you ever been able to film a live birth?? Just curious. I purchased a VERY pregnant AQHA paint mare one time, and she was understandably pretty nervous.....new owner (me) new place, new everything, and getting ready to pop. I was trying to keep her as happy and comfortable as possible, I slept in a wheelbarrow for over a month. She carried that foal one day shy of a year. She was a big beautiful sorrel and white mare and she gave me a gorgeous black/white filly who went on to be an excellent barrel horse 🐎. Love seeing live births 🙌 it's such a beautiful thing to witness

They all have different foaling times. Stallions are out for three months. We put them out in May.

Jerry replaces the mares according to bloodlines, Henson has ridden several of the mares and a good amount of the babies that sell come back for their 90 ride start.

That is done periodically… maybe not this day, but we will evaluate/give attention to them several times a year

We have about 60 foals a year. They all get sold as weanlings unless Jerry wants to keep a couple back to replace mares or start then sell.

Because these horses are raised for performance and brains. Most feral horses aren't able to do things like Quarter Horses can.
