Synthetic principles
The purpose of the study was the functional separation of the apartment into three small studios, which the owner will be able to rent to city visitors through a short-term real estate rental platform (airbnb). The new apartments are designed to be fully functional and equipped, so they can host people. Each of them includes a bathroom, a small kitchenette, an office and a small reception area. The basic requirement was to achieve a quality result with a small budget in a short time. Thus, the simplicity of the design combined with the application of minimalism in terms of decoration contribute to this purpose. In addition, with the minimal partitioning of the spaces, a maximum saving of materials was achieved on the one hand, and on the other, a maximum utilization of natural light.
Functional configuration
The apartment is long and narrow, so it is subdivided vertically on its long side into three smaller spaces, forming a shared corridor on the side where there are no windows. Pressed cement mortar marks the sanitary areas, while depending on the technique that can be applied, it gives the space a special style. Correspondingly, long and narrow counters added to the apartments have a multifunctional character, as they can serve the user both for eating, working, storing and any other activity that requires a flat surface. The melamine in a natural oak shade, combines perfectly with the laminate floor .
Choice of colors
The color palette developed consists mainly of neutral colors, as pastel light shades of blue and orange were combined to give the space warmth, creating an elegant and timeless style. These two colors are complementary in the color wheel as they are opposite each other and are thus considered to create a color harmony in the eye. At the same time, white was chosen as the main color of the color palette as it is the color of purity, cleanliness and order while at the same time maximizes the reflection of natural and artificial lighting, contributing to the creation of airy spaces.
