To this day, I am forever upset that they never went with the Sephiroth/Aerith/Cloud dynamic. The greatest mistake in the history of the entire franchise, aside from killing Aerith and sinking Clearith that is...quite literally!

Many people say that sephiroth suppose to be fall in love with aerith but I don't know about aerith cause she felled in love with Zack.

Actually imma clear this up real quick. In the original game; concepts were floating around that Sephiroth and Aerith were going to be a romantic couple, and he kills her out of anger when he learns she has feelings for Cloud etc. (Well besides her trying to stop his plans of destroying the planet too) However they didnt go with this idea and instead Zack was created as the 'fallen 1st class Solider' that Aerith mentions she used to date. And Zack's story got abit more detailed as they focused on it as the one that helps out Cloud with his earlier journey and what not, and the one to help him escape. Not to mention he was the one that was in the flashbacks of Cloud where he thought HE was the firstclass SOLIDER that fought alongside Sephiroth in Shinra, rather than the truth where he was just a grunt solider that Zack encouraged and befriended. Pretty much they gave Zack more character development rather than him just being a stand in for where Seph was going to be as a partner for Aerith. Just wanted to help point that out for those curious about the mysterious ties between Aerith and Sephiroth. -- Dont worry I aint dissing the ship, but just pointing out why people wonder about the pairing and where it might originate from.
