I love my YSL Stora Dolls palette, but it DID just fall out of the component and hit the floor. The glue the use to keep the shadows in the component is sub par, so be careful as many have experienced this!

We don't have Sephora in Ireland but I want to reiterate everything Rebecca said about the YSL quads - they are gorgeous, so creamy and blendable! I have 200 and 300 and they're so beautiful, best quads I've ever tried. Highly recommend 😍

@@cabrooker it's definitely on the rosy side! One of the shades is like a light burgundy colour. It's a warm toned palette but I would say much more pink than brown but in a very sophisticated way! 300 is definitely your classic warm chocolatey and terracotta colours and more "wearable" for every day, going to work etc (at least on my fair skin, 200 is much more impactful).

I'm getting the La Mer foundation purely for a hopeful shade match (210 Bisque), Ysl quad, new Janeiro body cream & sunscreen, Haus concealer, CT Glowgasm palette, new Makeup by Mario palette, Ellis Apple & discovery set, Rare blush in happy (maybe hope), new Orbie heat protector, PML pink under eye powder, and I'm going to try the Gisou lip oil & see if it's a problem (I'll probably never notice 😅) and of course a giant refill of the Dermalogica Special Cleansing gel for my son. Too bad can’t get retail health Medicare insurance. Lololol. I’m tempted too, by the Givenchy blush, but will see how the month goes.

OMG girl I was gonna ask the same thing! And I also have the Sublimage, but sometimes if I'm wearing a skin tint, I find it's a bit much and would like something a little lighter. Rebecca are the Fenty and Armani lighter weight than Dior? I have that one too but sometimes I even find that one a bit much, I'm thinking along the line of a serum concealer. I've heard good stuff about the new Saie one.

I like the new Laura Mercier it’s very thin and very light medium coverage. It definitely works for dry skin. But I think some of the luminous concealers like Charlotte or Natasha or a little better for dryer skin.

I was disappointed to see the new YSL bronzer was not on Sephora!! The Charlotte Tilbury is a great one too!! I also really like the PML and Gucci bronzers too. I’m still miffed about the TF stick foundation not being sold any longer. I bought several when it was on sale so I am stocked up for now. I have no business having all these Dyson hair tools but I do love them! I have the Airstrait too and it works wonders to straighten hair!! I did not have as much success with it on wet hair BUT not related to the tool but user preference, skill, and time. I found that I have to use smaller pieces instead of how I dry large sections with the Airwrap. I am an admittedly lazy hair person. Anyhow, I usually use the AirStrait on dry hair to freshen up and address any frizz during the during the week and it works amazing!!! Great Sephora roundup!!

UD is lighter coverage with a very matte, powdered look. Prada is medium with a dewier, creamier look. So apples and oranges, I suppose. Both beautiful. Both lovey on mature skin and skin concerns, really.

I use the balm and am interested in the serum, but not sure if they do the same thing?

Sarah! OK. This is a bit nuanced so stay with me here. Essentially they are the same as in they both prime the skin but in terms of feel they are different. The balm has a little bit of coverage and can be used in various ways including on eyelids and even over makeup to highlight a little bit if you use a different shade. And it has that balm feeling that kind of goes to powder as you apply it. The liquid newer version, the serum in other words, has no color and no coverage. Only comes in that shade with no preferences because it’s completely translucent and it just kind of becomes a powdered flat slick almost surface… Not slick like oily but slick like totally flat surface to apply Makeup. It has no other uses other than primer, no benefits using over Makeup or applied to add or enhance coverage. It is strictly creating a completely flat surface to apply Makeup over. Does that help at all or did I just make it more confusing?

Best eyeliners a tough one. I love the melt eyeliner because it’s nice and creamy and doesn’t hurt or tug on the eyes but it doesn’t last very long. The winners for lasting along are always Pat McGrath and the hourglass voyeur.

Lipstick recommendation is in there. The merit matte. Eyeliner in terms of longevity is the hourglass voyeur or Pat McGrath but neither are crazy comfortable. The melt is super comfy but it runs a bit and doesn’t last long. I’m not in love with any eyeliner right now. I’m about to try the new Bobbi Brown tho.

I have been wondering what people mean when they say that a bronzer is "warm' vs. "cool". Is a warm bronzer one that is yellow? Or orange? Or red? And i feel that a product that has a lot of grey in it is "cool", and like a contour, but I'm not sure what else would make a bronzer cool. It's especially confusing when companies like Haus Labs and MAC suggest that cool undertones are yellow and warm undertones are pink! So i am feeling. confused.

Hi Lisa - from what I've seen watching reviews over the years, warm toned bronzers have more orange/yellow undertones, and cool have more of a red. Apparently the Gucci # 1 is the best cool toned bronzer ever made for cool skin tones. I don't have it myself, but cool toned people rave over that one. And yes, it drives me crazy when people contour with bronzer, because contour is a different product altogether in the professional makeup world. I've had a lot of friends that were actual trained makeup artists so I learned a lot from them over the years. Robert Welsh also does a lot of videos on makeup theory where he goes into a lot of these things.

You are both right. And pallets that are called neutral are generally just warm. Most bronzer tends to go a little yellow orange because the whole idea is warming up the face. And most contour is supposed to go a little bit gray leaning so that it can recede areas of the face to contour But it has all become lost in a sea of bronzing contour products that do both… Somehow which should not be feasible.

i was watching a video with Lady Gaga on the Haus Labs website where she was using their bronzer in Shade 4 (which is described on the site as neutral but which is described by Temptalia as "light-medium brown with moderate, warm undertones that leaned slightly reddish paired with a natural-matte finish"). Lady Gaga said that she was using it to "contour" and that did look like how she was putting it on. That confused me a lot, and the fact that Haus Labs uses that backwards system (where cool = yellow and warm = red) for undertones has confused me even more. Which is too bad because i do love that bronzer formula and the fact that 12 shades are available.

Thanks Rebecca… you have some of my favs here, like the Prada foundation! I’ve got the Ciele skin tint on my list since your review. I just ordered the fenty loose powder which is nice so holding off on this. I also have the Danessa Myricks skin tint which I realized I haven’t even opened yet. 🫣 I think I have a problem… lol I actually love the Chanel les beige water tint ( can’t remember the actual name) but have been using the Covergirl simply skin protector essence dupe while I’m in warm Florida and really liking… did I mention I have a problem?! Too many options. I also love the TF foundation stick. I’m also thinking of getting Ellis Brooklyn scents to try. I feel like spring-summer pick me up.🌸
