Septa: Quick irregular Sudoku

9:22 for me. On beginning i used logic that 3 cells sum line must be 6 or 7 and 6 eliminates 6. On beginning for some reason for me taken longer to get so much done in box 4. But as overall time it seems it helped that i pencilmarked all possibilities on left side also.

Someone already mentioned the 56 pairing that you had missed because you left a 1 in the cell the bottom right region. Also, the given 4 eliminated the 3 from the line towards the top, so once you spotted the 12 cell there was only one place for the 3 in row 2.

Done in 6:22, septa is below 7 ;) Sleuth has missed to remove 1 in column 5 as option for c5r7 (from the box).

Yeah, it's very easy to miss eliminations in irregular boxes. I do that all the time and have to specifically look for them. That might have shaved a minute off the time at least, because then the 56 pair in column 5 would have given the 2 and then the 1 in that column.

You missed the 1 in the bottom right region... So R7C5 was always 56 giving a pair in the column and hence 2 was placed in the column.

29:20 for me, fairly distracted and had to use a pair in one of the columns to resolve it which felt a bit too scann-y and I probably missed something more obvious, but I got there in the end so I'm not complaining 🤷‍♂

Once all the possible 7s have been placed, you can ask where 1 goes in column 5. It can only be in the top row, solving the 12 pair.

6:33 to solve. I think you missed the 256 triple in column 5 Sleuth as you didn’t eliminate the 1 from the bottom block.
