September 17th Lunar Eclipse in Pisces

My cat that I loved more than anything on the planet died yesterday. He came into my life when my sister passed away from breast cancer. He was her cat. Simba. When she died I was so overwhelmed with emotions I didn’t know what to do. So when I took him in I transferred all of those emotions into him and he became a kind of purse where I could put all my grief, my love, and he became my purpose. Because I felt so helpless when my sister died I made it my mission to do whatever I could to keep him alive. That was 10 years ago. I feel I did the best I could but now he’s gone, and the combined loss is almost too much to bear. I know if I can make it through this eclipse there is a whole new world for me, a reboot, a reset, a clearing…but getting through this part is really really hard. I came in with a cardinal grand cross in my natal chart and it is beyond my comprehension why any soul, my soul would sign up for such a tumultuous life. But I did, now I just gotta figure out how to get through this bit.

Sweet soul. You're strong and courageous! Breathe and take one minute at a time. Feel the feels and release them. When going through loss so huge, I found it helpful to just cry it out. There's an old Irish form of releasing through the grieving process called Keening. It's all about crying it out. Sending you a big hug dear one. You are not alone there are many that will see your post and will send you hugs too.

I am so sorry. I understand how devastating it can be to lose a cat who mean the world to you. When my kitty Cleo - who was my best friend who had been through so much with me - died it took some time to heal and realize that the reason she was able to go over the rainbow bridge was because she did come into my life a healer and friend. I had a new baby and husband and she knew I was going to be okay and her work with me was done. I believe your cat was so glad to have you during that terrible time too. Ten years later you both have healed in a new way and he realized you are going to be okay. People that come in with grand crosses get so much done in this lifetime! If you look at all the influential people who have had them you can see how they offer you strength to overcome all the challenges you have encountered.

How timely. I live in a big city and occasionally there are people who are having challenges that are just too big. I was interrupted during this video by the sound of someone probably having a bad reaction to drugs. It filled my heart, when I went out to see what was happening so I could give clear information to 911, that there were already a few people observing and that help was on its' way. Those of us who are not trained in what is needed professionally can at least hold a safe space for someone when they are overwhelmed. I am so grateful that I live in a community where there are strangers who want this to be a safe world, even in the moments when that's difficult. Thanks.

Thank you for this video. This last Pluto Rx in Capricorn is by far the foulest, grimmest, sickest and ugliest in modern times. It's very hard on the head but please strapdown. This eclipse is draining and exhausting. Yes it has a heavy side and can be depressing. As one of the great loves of my life coined it: Change is constant. This Pisces eclipse is the ultimate ending of the collective and personal cycle. If you're not too hard pressed financially, take the day off from work or school if you're not feeling it. Let go of one day's pay. That's just one example of releasing things that Dabney is referring to. Support each other and most importantly love, respect and take care of yourself.

Thank you. I didn’t know I needed to hear this. But I did. There is something I have lived with almost all my life. Sometimes there has been peace sometimes it’s overwhelmed my wellbeing. I thought I’d come to a truce, put it in its place. I was strong and safe. I had controlled the momentum and its influence. Two days ago I had a major set back. I felt I couldn’t trust myself, I was greatly disappointed in me. So I will spend the next day or so resetting and re-establishing my equilibrium and trust in myself. I've been looking for a full time job with no luck. Though I am working with a career counselor, I'm just not sure where I'll end up. They say that an opportunity is looking for you if you're looking, I've been looking for two years with no luck. The job I once had before it merged with another company that messed everything up was the literal perfect job for me and finding a job like that is really scarce. I am praying and meditating for a shift where I can have a full time job that works with my life even if I have to start a business or be self employed or find a company with a good job for a bit and go to classes to see where I want to really go and move in that direction. ❤️ I needed to hear this today. I get it. I think we sit around contemplating this stuff so it impacts us on a more feeling level. When I was not focused on my astrology career and going about my day I was definitely just running from thing to thing not tuning into how the energetic shifts were impacting me - even though they were - I was not noticing. I was taking care of the business of life - it’s a luxury for those of us doing v this to get the time to tune inappropriately and hopefully share and inspire others.

As someone who lost their BFF from suicide, please be aware that the situation is NOT always clear. I lived in another state when she passed, but she had called to chat the week prior. This happened in the early 80s. Look at people's current circumstances. Who is ill in their life? How is their partnership? Do they have enormous responsibilities? Is their life balanced? They will be superb at hiding things. They can be the person you think has their life totally together that everyone uses for a sounding block. Not only that, but they are suffering in such great pain but refuse to share. I miss my BFF every day.

I’ve been under tremendous amounts of stress for about a decade now - and feeling foggy as well, like my brain couldn’t work properly. Not a great combo. The brain fog is finally lifting, which is great but I look around and see my life in ruins. I feel like a complete loser - and that’s fitting for this “emotional” eclipse. I do live with a pint-sized Virgo, my now 8 year old daughter, so I have been paying attention to that sign as well (although at this age she does not appear to be a neat and organized Virgo-type person :-) I have a question as well - and it may be a silly one: as an evolutionary astrologer, how do you view the changes motherhood brings to one’s personality? It’s a type of transformation men do not face, at least not in the same way and perhaps not to the same degree. It’s like you spend a part of your life one way and then in a short amount of time everything sort of flips. They say there’s no blue print for how to deal with it all - which is at least partially true. There are a gazillion guide books and how to videos on how to care for a baby and on how to raise a child. Which is fantastic. Yet there’s not much out there on how to navigate it all as a person. Especially if g.d forbid there are health issues with the child. I know that in some ways I’m one of the lucky ones and I am grateful for the blessings that I have. But I think I’m not alone with feeling overwhelmed by the ramifications of what being a parent/mom can do to a person’s life. And don’t get me started on the draconian - no, slash that - femicidal (is this even a word?) health care laws many states are routinely passing now. It kind of feels like that for many of us there’s no real support, only cruelty. Ok, rant over. And thanks for everything (signed: a new subscriber).

@@CassandraCassandra. Yes - being a parent is absolutely overwhelming. When I worked full time and had a baby and a long commute I thought I was losing my mind. Astrology can be very helpful to understand our children. But the lack of support by our government and culture is another story.
