Photos of Translink bus operations on the September long weekend.
September 2016 saw significant bus changes in the Vancouver area, as the North Vancouver Transit Center shut down, and the new Hamilton Transit Center opened. The shuffling of routes associated with this resulted in significant changes to bus assignments. All North Vancouver routes were moved to the Burnaby garage, which meant that local Burnaby/New Westminster routes (106, 110, 112, 116, 123, 125, 129, 134, 136, 144) were shuffled to the Hamilton yard. After seven years of nothing but Novabus LFS's, these routes suddenly saw New Flyer D40LF's dating back to the late 1990's. At the same time, Hamilton took routes C98, 104, 410 and 430 from Richmond, and routes 101, 128 and 155 from Port Coquitlam. Nova hybrids now run these routes, replacing the Richmond D40LF's and the Poco C40LFR's and XN40's.
