Oh my 😂 I cracked up at the hedge fund 😂 Yes, I had the Philip lumea but never plucked the courage to use it. No pun intended 😂 My daughter has been using it for over 2 years and says it's fab. Love the hedge fund challenge! I've had the lumea twice but I'm a lazy cow and ended up selling them both times because I kept forgetting to use them. It is weaker so will take longer but the bonus of it being weaker is the pain is massively less than the salon machine. Also it's a fraction of the price and you can keep using it if/when some of the hair grows back in the future. Actually I might put it on my Christmas list again- 3rd time's a charm! 😆

I had a Braun IPL machine they’re meant to be on par with the Phillips lumina, when I was researching them, they appeared to be similar. However, it takes so much longer per session as it’s slow, in salon my underarms and fluff are done in 10 minutes, takes half an hour at home. I was doing it every week for months and it didn’t even scratch the surface with my underarms and fluff. Legs it did really well with the at home one but after a year or so, I ran out of flashes and I needed to get a new one to continue reducing, so I spent the money on professional in office ones and I wish I had done that in the first place to be honest.

Iris, home IPL changed my life. It’s not totally permanent as in forever, but it keeps hair away for a really long time. Non-hormone hair stays away for ages and just needs a monthly going over, and facial hair which tends to be more hormone related needs more frequent attention. But honestly, the best money ever spent. In your own time and own privacy.❤

Laser Hair Removal - I’ve had the Phillips machine and I’m now having it done professionally. I’ve noticed much more of a difference by having it done professionally than when I used the machine. I was still have to use the machine every 2 weeks to keep on top of it. I’ve had my first session of laser hair and not shaved in 4 weeks!!!

Great video as always and scary about your fire. I’m about to research how to put out an electrical fire as you never know! Laser hair… I’ve been having different areas done this year and now at a point where there isn’t much left and only need to go every 6-8 weeks. I am now considering a home device to keep on top of it but I would definitely say get the first batches done at Laser clinic. Much quicker results. 💕

So I tried the do it urself lazer hair removal & it's just so much longer to do I thinned my hair but you have to have your hair freshly short but can't be under like 12hrs or 24hrs I think so it was so much work to remember to lazer it & shave & shower, whereas with professional lazers it's less times but costs more so all depends on if I can keep on track.

I have always read that home laser units are not as strong as the professional ones. The other thing is that there are different types of lasers which are more or less effective depending on the hair color and the contrast between the hair color and skin shade.

Laser home units are not as strong as the professional ones. There are different types of lasers which are more or less effective depending on hair colour and skin pigmentation. So it's up to you whether you want to try the home units to see if it will work for you. I just went straight to the professionals cause I thought since having more melanin I didn't want to faff around and end up having to go see a professional anyway ❤

Laser: its not as strong as if u go salon for it. Also theres different types of laser, and i thiiiinnnkkk that the lumier doesnt go to multipe levels (i might be wrong research it) and therefore it might not get every single hair or could take a lot longer. Its worth trying though if your friend has had good results for it

I’ve looked at that Phillips hair removal device but tbh it won’t be as effective as having it done professionally. It would be like having a “filler face cream” instead of having actual filler if that makes sense. I would def have it done professionally then later on try the device as a way of keeping on top of it ❤ from my beauty industry professional experience- I worked within the industry for over 15 years xxx
