Hello all! Couple quick notes: 1. Reading vlog will be up late this week due to circumstances beyond my control, sorry! Hopefully tomorrow, I will post it ASAP! 2. Starting next week I will be changing my uploading schedule (again I know very annoying). I will now be uploading a reading vlog every Monday and a different video (book haul, recommendation, you name it) every Thursday. I will no longer be doing BiblioBabbles as they take a lot of time and effort and don't really see the payoff quite frankly (not monetarily speaking but they are very hard to film and not my favourite video by any means). In lieu of that, I may start doing wrap ups progressively throughout the month, although I'm still unsure about that. Or, possibly doing little 5 minute reviews. Once again, not too sure. So unless I have an unboxing I will now be posting 2 videos per week. I'm sorry if this is disappointing for some of you but it is in my own best interest to do this as I was getting very overwhelmed by the work load I put on myself trying to post 4 videos a week. I want to have time for other things, such as reading (at a decent hour instead of through the middle of the night), but namely, I want to focus on writing my book. This will also hopefully give me more time to enhance the quality of my videos. Thank you guys so much for understanding and for your continued support, it means SO much to me. I hope you enjoy today's video. 💜

Abbie Terrell did you like Six of Crows? Have fun reading Crooked Kingdom it's amazing!!
@artwriter767 жыл бұрын
Mary Rose I had mixed feelings about it, but I gave it four stars on Goodreads. I did enjoy it, though. I've heard that Crooked Kingdom is amazing, so I'm looking forward to it!
@Maria-cf1nn7 жыл бұрын
Abbie Terrell yeah I get that since I did have some minor issues with it but I just love the charters and all of their schemes so much that I was able to look over them though a warning you'll probably also dislike some parts in crooked kingdom if you already didn't absolutely love six of crows (it's still totally worth it though)

Mary Rose Thanks! I'm glad you liked them! I hope Crooked Kingdom doesn't disappoint!

I read 20 books this month which is much more than I normally read so I think maybe there was something in the air this month lol! I think your new schedule sounds like it will be better for you and I appreciate that. I have also stopped doing reviews on my channel for the same reason, I don't love filming them and I don't think people enjoy them as much as my other videos. You do you and I assure you I'll still be here watching! Lots of love.

I totally agree with you! I don’t like it when books put too much fluff and pretentious writing. Like stop trying to impress me and get to the point! Chop chop!

And I thought reading 13 books last month was insane, haha! You really amaze me Hailey, because besides reading all of those books you also find the time to film videos (and I assume you have some kind of private life too, haha), and to me it seems like you just have to be amazing at organizing your time. Either way, it always makes me smile to see you in my supscription box :)

I've wanted to read Love + Gelato for a while (probably since I went to Italy or since you first mentioned it, which happened around the same time). I also had a few issues with Tower of Dawn but I loved one of the relationships at the end of the novel so much. Chaol kinda ruined himself for me back in Queen of Shadows, and this wasn't enough to rectify it. I mentioned my opinions a little in my (soon-to-be posted) Wrap-Up and TBR, and more in depth in my goodreads review!

I actually dnf'd Umberland for the moment, but I think I'll go back to it to try again, because the series overall (there is a third book coming, Ozland) really keeps my interest.

How To Love by Katie Cotugno is actually my favourite book this year but I'm also a sucker for maternity and young mom stories so MAYBE it's just me, but I highly recommend it. Like, it is one of my all time favourite books. I'm scared to read anything else by her because I can almost guarantee that I won't like any of her other books nearly as much.

Where are you doing these ratings? Many times on goodreads I would like to rate something a 3.5 or a 4.5 or like you said for Warcross a 4.75, but goodreads only allows 1, 2, 3, 4, or 5, no in betweens.

I think I read the Gemma Doyle trilogy back in 10th grade (3yrs ago), and I totally agree that as the series continued it got a little disappointing. I remember it being very intriguing at first (I also don't really remember the second book all too much) but the conclusion to the series just didn't do it for me either.

I read an ARC of This Darkness Mine too and I really liked the first couple of chapters until the whole twin thing came to light ant then... Yeah it just crashed. I'm usually apprehensive reading books about games or gamers when the author isn't into them but since Marie Lu used to work in the gaming industry I have 100% faith that she will handle it well! Alice in Zombieland is such a disappointment. Like, one title could have Alice in it but the whole bloody trilogy has Alice related themed... That is just soooo bad!
