Keep those paper scraps. Here is my process video showing how I make these fun DIY Folded Paper Strip Embellishments, paper charm dangles & tiny envelope using paper punches. These are great for beginner crafters to paper crafting/scrapbooking using only minimal craft supplies or if you want to get started making paper layered embellishments.

I love your idea to use crochet thread. I’ve always used bakers twine but have a love/hate relationship with it (it curls up on itself and makes me crazy!). I can dye white crochet thread with my reminders to coordinate with anything I make, if desired. You have SO many great creative ideas to use up all those scraps.
