Another establishment of being the best Melodic /symphonic death metal band ever...
@metalswifty232 жыл бұрын
Symphonic* Melodic death metal is very different.
@marshallwaob80832 жыл бұрын
LOL 😂😂😂
@metalswifty232 жыл бұрын
@Jimmy Kerast Symphonic implies the use of orchestration, whether real or synthesised. Melodic is strictly to do with the riffs, which stem from NWOBHM bands (especially Iron Maiden), and occasionally thrash metal (Carcass are a big proponent of thrashy melodic death metal, for example). They are two very distinct sub genres. Sure, there are bands that may blend the two, but they're the exception, not the rule. This isn't nitpicking, this is knowing the difference between the two. Septicflesh and Fleshgod Apocalypse sound nothing like Dark Tranquillity or Amon Amarth, for example. In fact, you'd be far more likely to find similarities between the former 2 bands and a band like Epica, than you would between the former and the latter.

I don't hear much experimentation here. Sounds lackluster and quite washed out. much less feeling and emotion in this track than historically with them. They sound tired. And the music is quite cookie-cutter. I really enjoy the band, but I'm noticing this happening to alot of the larger metal acts. Each release gets washed out a little more, a little less soul, a little less originality.
