I was intrigued when I watched this. Watched a few more video reviews and noted some people saying they were underwhelmed by the SEQUIS instrument. But if it was built as well as ARKHIS then I thought it surely had to be worth the gamble. Bought it. Installed it. OMG. What a beast. SEQUIS + ARKHIS = Unlimited possibilities with a fast, natural, creative workflow. I never thought I would ride a mod wheel like playing an instrument. This is NOT a 16 step sequencer. This is something else. I'm like a kid with a big new box of coloured pencils.

This is a brilliant idea using the modwheel to increase the layers. One of NI best new instruments for a while. It's like the software version of my Korg Wavestate that uses 4 separate layers to create evolving rhythms. With 400 presets the possibilities are endless.

Dear NI, This instrument is absolutely brilliant in terms of broad sound palette and the idea of using the modwheel. Thank you very much for it! However, it looks to me that there's a lack of functionality in this one. I think if I could switch between different sequences within one instance of Sequis via C0-C2 midi notes, it would massssively improve the user experience. For now, the dynamics of a sequence are controlled only by adding and removing different layers via modwheel, but you can't add and remove different steps (via some sort of automation). You have to stick to only one sequence within a preset, and if you want to create its automated variation, you need another instance of Sequis. All the rest is beautiful, but it just feels like it could deliver a bit more for its price.

Just bought this, really disappointed with it. No round robin articulations so the sequences sound really repetitive. And there's no real way to alter the timbre as the sequence is going along. Its sounds half-descent if you use all for layers but there's no way I'm going to do that all the time. Don't waste your money.

I purchased this in hopes that it would assist me in scoring a project I’m working on. The thing is riddled with bugs that make the product useless. I contacted tech support. Hmm, this appears to be running at 122 bpm. Is there a reason for that? That is, do the loops and shakers work well at different tempos? And time signatures for that matter. At least 3/4 is easy enough in the sequencer. Lovely sounds and nice engine, regardless.
@ReubenCornell3 жыл бұрын
Check out the BPM indictor in the top right of the Komplete Kontrol interface - there are examples played at all sorts of different tempi. Sequis can adapt to any tempo.
