Oh look who's here. Thank you Dave for sharing your knowledge on your most excellent chanel. I've had a lifetime career in IT, but I feel like a child when it comes to AI. I'm scared, excited and hopeful. I'm learning as much as I can and inspired to be part of the solutions, in large part thanks to creators like you. "Will you just take it easy!" - The Dude "I'm calmer than you are." - Walter Sobchak If I laugh and know Waffle House is still open, everything will be ok. thanks Dave. Right on ride on create on!!!

This dude is like the Asian Forest Gump of AI. He's been there for all the modern big moments and with pretty much all the big players. Fascinating interview conducted by two Rockstars themselves. 🔥

Great talk on embodied AI! On the robotics side, human-centric design has the great benefit of extensively studied dynamics and models. Technology opens the door to optimize and design physical embodiments with intention, enabling machines to navigate and interact with the world unconstrained.

I've been a Jim Fan "FAN" (or is that just Fan Squared 😆) for a while, but love seeing him in this format. Super excited for what he is working on, as well as Fei-Fei Li's new venture.

I hope that researchers are cautiously optimistic about where there research will be used and are extremely thoughtful about tight line of ethics they walk. If we choose that our Utopia in life is eliminating mundane tasks like laundry, I wonder how fast-paced and stimulating everything we choose to partake in will become then. Jim should reflect upon his own advice: select the right problem to solve. Do we want robots to be taking place of jobs easy but boring for humans to do or should we be pushing for applications that improve the safety and wellness of human life?
