Sobre el restaurant que se equivoca de precio, en esa cuadra pasa casi seguido, no solo por ser extranjero, ellos manejan 2 cartas de 13 y de 25, es un error común.

Advice from a Lawyer: Indecopi in Peru, the entity responsible for protecting consumer rights, would likely consider that in this case, the consumer has the right to pay the price that was informed at the time of placing the order. According to the Consumer Protection Law, if a consumer requests a product or service at a specific price and the provider delivers a different product or service or charges a different price without the consumer's consent, the consumer is not obligated to pay the higher price. Indecopi could determine that the restaurant engaged in misleading practices by not honoring the initially agreed-upon price. As a result, the consumer would have the right to pay the 13 soles corresponding to the menu they ordered, not the 25 soles for the menu that was served without their consent. Furthermore, Indecopi could impose sanctions on the restaurant for unfair commercial practices and require corrective measures to protect other consumers from similar situations.

Yeah this unfortunately does have happen. It happened to my friend when I took her and because she was white, they gave us another menu with the price jacked up! This is not okay as a Peruvian I was embarrassed for my friend.

Creo que no fue correcto el actuar del personal; pero también me parece que se debería preguntar antes de grabar dentro de un local, por respeto a los otros clientes que quizá no quieran ser grabados y se sientan incómodos comiendo o compartiendo con su gente.

bueno el trato puede darse para cualquiera, y bueno el error es del restaurante y tienen que asumir la responsabilidad. en fin a veces los que atienden quieren solucionar ese tipo de problemas así por que el local no pierde guanacias y no le enojan a la que atendió, a veces es complejo este tipo de cosas

I'm Peruvian. My dad used to take me to Tip Top when I was a kid. Back when it was a great place to go with the family. It was the Peruvian-American dinner experience. Trays hooked up to the windows. That guy was an asshole. They make them in every country. Sorry for the bad experience. Paul

Hola Highlander! no te enojes, suele pasar, en todo caso nunca se sabra si lo hizo porque se equivoco y luego a ella le descuentan, o porque te quizo estafar. Que hay gente que intenta estafar cuando te ven cara de 'estafable' siempre lo habra, tanto para extranjeros como para peruanos con cara de gringos o con cara de muy autoctonos. Me ha pasado en restaurantes que ofrecen menú y plato de carta. Tanto subiéndome el precio o bajándolo(en caso que me den menú) y yo quería de carta. Solo una vez subiendo el precio. Yo cedí a pagar, pero hiciste lo correcto, también yo debí de hacer eso u.u Como indicas, no es culpa del comensal, si no de quien atendió.

I travel very frequently to Lima and I too have a lot of problem with the security guys. Not all of them but most of the. I find them very rude, no manners and very brutal most of them make as if they own the f.... place. That guy at Tip Top was rude and a f... ignorant. I always walk away like you did when they do like to me . I say f... off I'll take my business elsewhere. In you case you received an apology because you are a KZbinr . I wouldn't get one because I'm not. So next time I'm in Lima no Tip Top for me. As for your menu. I was looking at it and I was saying to myself that it is too good for 13 soles especially in Miraflores. For 13 soles ,they usually give a glass of a beverage not a carafe. Having said that she made a mistake and you should not pay for her mistakes but as a tourist, I may have paid especially when she told me that she will need to pay for it herself. Again this is a tourist point of view. However as a tourist I would have been pissed too. In her defense, I would say that she was disturbed by the handsome guy like you were lol l Nice video👍

3:38 I believe the waitress did indeed make a mistake, you can tell by her behavior. You're within your rights not to pay, but it's not the establishment's fault, and you can't tarnish a business because of how its staff acts. We all make mistakes.

Lo que pasa en regiones latinoamericanas como Perú, muchas personas son filmadas para filtrar información de los dueños, en estos momentos hay muchos problemas con robos por extranjeros. Im Peruvian guy, first of all the guy (security of that restaurant) wasn't very nice to you , I believe could be culture clash, most secure of Peru could be likethat to Peruvian or Latinos but not to gringos but I know in UK the security very polite , dont take it personally, take it as experience, i know can be frustrated, I speak by experience.About the waitress , yes she would ask Peruvians customer to pay 25, I m glad that you were firm just 13 soles. I agree with you bro, I'm Australian born Peruvian and when this occurs when I travel to Peru, I'm not phased anymore since security are normally confrontational and aggressive and this is just the norm.
