I don’t understand when people say that she is copying Eleni, JLo or other female artists that have big dance moments in their performances. Like? Is that even a bad thing? Because both Eleni and JLo are amazing performers and if I was Chanel I would feel very flattered to be compared with such big names. Besides that, I really hope Tanxugueiras and Rigoberta try again another year because I would love to see them in Eurovision as well! Overall I was very happy with every entry of the Benidorm Fest final and I would have loved any of those 8 songs to be the chosen one. 10 months since your last video and now you're reacting to my very own country. I couldn't be happier! People here have been throwing a lot of shade to Chanel, forcing her to take her Twitter account down and even making her cry because of the juries voting. It's so true that the favourite for the Spanish audience was Tanxugueiras, followed by Rigoberta Bandini. So when Chanel ended up winning the contest, both of these fandoms said awful things to her, also on comments on the photos she has on Instagram. I'm very happy and disappointed at the same level because Spain, for once, did the right thing by bringing this huge contest for the national selection but this made Spain stand against each other instead of supporting this (maybe not favourite) but great performer. In any case, it's good to see you back, Stefan and I hope you love the entry as much as I do. 😘

Sadly, I think the staging and performance for Ay Mama and Terra let both of those amazing songs down. After the semi finals I thought Rigoberta and Tanxugueiras would see how on point Chanel's performance was and how sloppy and disjointed Ay Mama and Terra appeared at times. Unfortunately, they didn't fix the problems in their performances and Chanel who came to slam, slammed and she just slammed them out of the park. I was so hoping for Ay Mama to win and will always be disappointed Rigoberta Bandini didn't get to take that amazing song to Eurovision this year but SloMo is a great song too and Chanel's performance was killer so I am 100% behind Spain this year.

FYI, Terra wasn't even going to be selected for Benidorm Fest in the first place. At first, it was going to be just 12 songs, but the selection commitee liked a lot of songs so they added two more in the last moment, and those 2 were Terra by Tanxugueiras and Culpa by Javiera Mena. Tanxugueiras were 11th in that first pre-selection and only the first 10 were to qualify for Benidorm Fest + 2 songs from the web submitions, so they were never considered a strong entry by the professional juries nor the selection commitee. We just knew about this information today. The juries in the show didn't really like Tanxugueiras that much, but neither did the RTVE comitee of experts who selected the songs. I think Tanxugueiras would have been also in the last places of the jury vote if they went to Eurovision, so I think the juries did the right thing by voting them low. Chanel is a much stronger entry.

La actuación es perfecta! La canción muy pegadiza, actual, comercial, con una coreografía top y una ejecucion del conjunto muy profesional. Personalmente me parece una propuesta con muchas opciones de conseguir un buen puesto en el ESC pero....ya nos ocuparemos los propios españoles de tirarle encima toda la basura que podamos...tongos, plagios, favoritismos, etc..... Una lástima porque Chanel hace un trabajo impecable y muy dificil de conseguir....detrás hay mucho esfuerzo para conseguir que disfrutemos de esta canción y de su puesta en escena. Por mi parte...BRAVO CHANEL.....PALANTE REINA!!!! The performance is perfect! The song is very catchy, current, commercial, with a top choreography and a very professional execution of the ensemble. Personally, it seems to me a proposal with many options to get a good position in the ESC but.... we, the Spaniards, will take care of throwing all the garbage at him that we can... goofs, plagiarism, favoritism, etc... It's a shame because Chanel does an impeccable job and it's very difficult to achieve... there's a lot of effort behind it to get us to enjoy this song and its staging. For my part...
