Hello just found your video can I make this into a bb cream using moisturiser?
@harvestcheddar07 жыл бұрын
I love this kind of thing! If you are looking for a healthy, pure powder foundation I would recommend the alima pure. It only has 4 ingredients and I have acne scarrin, but find the coverage nice with some spot concealing. However, I like the idea of making it like this too! I think I'll give it a try.

Turmeric is FABULOUS for the skin & actually makes an excellent mask. It can be especially good for reducing redness/ rosacea. It can temporarily stain though, so just a heads up!!

Can you just use coco powder and flour
@sereinwubeauty6 жыл бұрын
You can use whatever you feel comfortable with. I personally wanted to avoid flour in case of gluten sensitivity or allergies. We also use the arrowroot powder to make our own "baby powder" for hot weather or chaffing

How long can we use this foundation?
@malcolm44447 жыл бұрын
Interesting, i wonder how the staying powder of this compares to regular powders. Arrowroot is know for being a super safe alternative to cornstarch, people use turmeric and cocoa in masks for skin already, so i trust that this is safe
@sereinwubeauty7 жыл бұрын
I've been wearing it for about two months now and the powder stays on just as long as the conventional ones for me. Sometimes on really hot days I'll add a dusting in the afternoon, but I've noticed my skin looks better with this.

I've been using it for almost 2 months now and my skin actually looks better and I haven't had as many minor breakouts like I use to with conventional foundation.

Hi Serein, could you demonstrate the part where you pressed the foundation with almond oil? (Or you could just explain it?) because I am very confused
@sereinwubeauty5 жыл бұрын
So I don’t love the presses version, but you can add a few drops of alcohol at a time and take a flat surface object to press it down. Repeat till you get a pressed powder. Then allow the alcohol to evaporate over night maybe longer

@Phyreflyte7 жыл бұрын
Mariana Grama Arrowroot powder isn't the same as flour. It's comparable to cornstarch. :)
@sereinwubeauty7 жыл бұрын
It's actually safe and a lot better than some of the chemicals in our conventional makeup. You can look it up online. Obviously everyone has different allergies and sensitivities, so avoid it if you're allergic to arrowroot.

Cool Serein...I imagine it smells good with the cinnamon...I use to use powder foundations (bare minerals), and I loved them, but now that I have more mature skin, they don't look as good on me ...Maybe as a setting powder...thanks for sharing hun XoXo

Try setting your bareMinerals with rose water or setting spray, that always helps with powder product for me. The foudnation smells amazing like chocolate and cinnamon :-p

Depending what you put in it and the shelf life of your ingredients. I use mine up in about a month. I wouldn't keep a ton around in my makeup bag for too long.

Do a patch test underneath your chin. I for example am allergic to a lot of things however the sensitive varies on different parts on my body. I can put several products on my wrist and not have any irritation but swell when uts on my face.

What happens if I just use arrowroot because I want to cosplay an anime character with a skin tone that's basically printer paper? Huge mistake, or give it a shot? I understand nothing about makeup, avoiding it most of my life because I know it's generally not good for health, so now I have a bottle of coconut oil, a bag of arrowroot and shea butter in the Save for Later cart, and a lot of confusion. :

My only thing is she is mixing all these ingredients with metal... maybe wooden products and glass mixing containers.. those seem safer because metal of any kind can seep into the powder products.

It's going to be my last hope even the powder from alima pure broke me out, it's must be the iron oxide or one of thoses I can't any more
@sereinwubeauty7 жыл бұрын
Iron Oxides are in most color products since it's how they get the color of the foundation a lot of the times. This DIY doesn't use any, so hopefully it works. Have you tried 100 Percent Pure?
@anamhasan247 жыл бұрын
it was most likely the micas used in Alima Pure. I had the same problem
@elleestchouxxxxxxxxe7 жыл бұрын
Serein Wu i ordered the 2nd skin foundation from 100 pure it's the only one with only fruits pigments the others had some oxide and everything else even the powder ones. Waiting for my package 📦 now I hope it will work 🤞🏻
@elleestchouxxxxxxxxe7 жыл бұрын
Anam Hasan i don't know I tried to compare with other products I already have with the cosdna website it's really helpful. But I'm going to a dermatologist to be tested I really need to know what the ingredient I'm reacting to !!!! ( even the rms concealer break me out on my face and it doesn't have mica in it but the oxide and blabla)
@anamhasan247 жыл бұрын
Louise www.rmsbeauty.com/products/un-cover-up Are you talking about this^ product? From my experience, most oils especially coconut oil will break you out. This product contains coconut oil. I'd recommend using this website to compare your makeup ingredients. Although bismuth oxychloride and mica are not on the list, in my experience they are highly irritating as well as most oils which are comodegenic. Here's the website: skinsalvationsf.com/comedogenic Good luck!

I know cinnamon is used in most lip-plumping products and those products usually cause a tingle or sting on the lips. I know the concentration of cinnamon is way higher on those products than what you added to your foundation, but I was wondering if you felt any tingling at all on your face?
@sereinwubeauty7 жыл бұрын
This did not tingle at all until I was outside sweating and walking on a really hot day, but it could have also been because I was overheated that my face tingled. I get red in the face easily. Since this video, I don't use cinnamon as much or if at all depending on my shade. If you're worried about the cinnamon, you don't need it. You can use turmeric or more of turmeric instead :-)
