Seeing this game of jana vs serena, skill for skill despite the injury which i believe was caused by stretching jana out with serena angling her shots, compared to jana’s match up with venus, serena really is way better, more consistent and figures things out faster than venus. I love venus but serena teally is way better even during their youthful days.

Yea Venus was less strategic . She was running down the balls and trying to get the point as oppose to Serena who studies her opponents and tries to outsmart them. The family knew this especially the father who made this known before they turned pro. He said Serena was the better player and besides strength she was tactical. Venus however has improved immensely since then however her syndrome doesn’t make her last too long to win a grand slam.

Jana was Very critical of both Williams as new arrivals on tour. Glad to see they BOTH got wins over her before she retired.

Weirdly so, whereas 1998 was Jana's best year she was not able to win a single match after the US Open in 4 tries. That was like a sign of things to come in 99. As if that loss to Hingis at the US Open when the number 1 spot was within her grasp had put a premature end to her career

The only time these two great players played, and Jana got injured. It's a pity.
