Serenade from Frasquita - Franz Lehar Transcribed by Fritz Kreisler

This happy little Serenade is one of our favorite pieces to play together. Viennese composer Franz Lehar began his career as a violinist and later wrote a number of operettas. Lehar was a close friend of fellow Vienniese violinist Fritz Kreisler to whom he dedicated a different Serenade. Kreisler returned the favor by transcribing this aria from the operetta Frasquita.
