I love how the "gourmand" aspect is not done too much, its just right, smooth and not loud.

I blind bought this about 8 months ago knowing nothing about it and have totally fallen in love with it. Your review was SPOT ON and should be the definitive review for anyone interested in this.

While smelling this from a blotter I got the chocolate note for the first time today. And patchouli? This fragrance is really deep, have to take a closer look again soon. Thanks for reminding me of it!

I have a 5ml of Serge Lutnes Vetiver Oriental , but I haven't got to it yet. I got it, along with 5 other 5mls from Premiere Avenue boutique in France. I ordered Ambre Sultan , the atomizer , just before all the change over. I got a ridiculous deal because that's how bottle change overs work. It was when the Seine river was overflowing it's banks , and the postal my package was sent to was the 36. Yup, my Amber Sultan must have made the Seine river smell wonderful for a brief moment. So, because the atomizer was sold out, I got a bunch of Serge 5mls as a replacement . I will add your review Pep to my fragrance list , and listen to your review when I open the 5ml. Thank you for all you do for us here on You Tube.

Ahhh, I remember liking this one when I tried it, but then again I like vetiver in fragrances in general, even if it is just in the background. It adds a certain vibrance to many compositions. Thanks for the excellent review.

Just got this for a excellent price so couldn't say no...after listening to your review😉👍🏻I'm so glad i clicked BUY:-) First spray ever was a lovely sweet vanilla chocolat-cloud, then the green notes most ppl mention. It goes to the heart on 20-30 min and the sweetness eas a little bit but the chocolat remains. I also then get a tiny tiny bit of oud on top of smoke(like in burnt wood, not incence) Then very close up it takes a little bit of that classic "barber-shop" with what i percieve as really dry lavender. Nose away from my wrist i still get the vanilla-chocolat cloud with a hint of smokyness. I think this is much more complex scent than most think. It is leaning towards masculin but thanks to the sweet notes it works well for women too. I think it can smell fairly different in different climates and to what your nose prefers. Excellent review!!:-)

Too funny. I just got this in the mail and can't remember why I purchased it, other than That I was looking for a new vetiver fragrance and this popped up. I don't regret purchasing this at all. I have to admit it goes through several changes from the opening to the dry down, but at the end it's excellent. Love how the vetiver just hits you in the face after the dry down, again I love this. I'm only wearing this today because I'm force to stay indoors, but when the weather cools off and I can venture out I will definitely be wearing this. Thanks for the review!

This one looks delicious. Right now I'm infatuated with La couche du diable regarding the SL line, but I'll have to check this one for sure

Do you find any similarities compared with Une Nuit Nomade's Mr. Vetiver? Georgious wooden vetiver dry down with delicious opening with Vermouth Bianco!😊 Serge Lutens have to be genial version on vetivers, all the SL's being great so far! Cherqui and Fille dancing with 😊 needles for.ex!

Great review. I grabbed my bottle to sniff along, as I have a hard time articulating what I smell in this one. It tends to have a powdery dry down on my skin, and I only detect a hint of the chocolate when I spray the same spot several times.

Thanks for review of this one. I was wondering what would be your opinion. First time I smelled this I liked it but I had an issue with sweet part. Likely I don't get this sweet part that prominent any more and Oriental superseded Chergui as a number one from the house. In one of your last videos I saw your bottle of L'Artisan Navigateur. I would like to see review of that one. First time I smelled that one I felt something not so pleasant. Similar to Oriental second wearing was a quite different. Now I like it. You mentioned that it's discontinued now. Shame because I have just 2ml tester. Will try to find it on ebay

I am undecided on reviewing that L'Artisan, because i still haven't worked out how i feel about it.

@@TheScentinel I wasn't worried about it, and I didn't mean for that to sound like you were in anyway responsible if I happened to not like it 🤣🤣 that's a pet peeve of mine people blaming reviewers for the purchases they dont like. I just know you are one of the few people that have reviewed it and I appreciate that 🤝🙏

The Scentinel yeah, wonder if you will get that too , let me know. I have both but find coromandel hard to wear, vetiver on the first spray reminded me of that and thought to myself - ahh its like c. But easier to wear.

The Scentinel and CS created both so I guess they are kind of in the same family Borneo, coromandel and vetiver oriental...unless I am completely wrong and my nose is broken. Lol

Definitely an interesting scent. Still not sure if I like it though. Rather a wonky clash of a drydown on my skin.

If the performance doesn't justify the price I'll never buy it. If anyone is paying $100 plus for a fragrance it better project at least 1 foot away and last for at least 6 hours. I'm sorry, but there are so many rip offs on the market. I've seen people spend $250 and end up with a skin scent after 90 minutes and only last 4 - 6 hours.
