Interesting to hear the differences of capacitors but I think that the test you have done is not functional to hear these differences (assuming that on youtube you can appreciate a difference). I think it would be more useful if the 3 modules with the same settings were made to be heard in sequence (without gaps between one and the other) ... what do you think? thank you

I recently got the Thonk Resonant EQ and can clearly hear the differences in this video but maybe because I am accustomed to the sounds of the module already?

I do this at a couple points in the video. I'm sorry the video isn't well labeled.... The Chaos of the feedback circuit makes it quite difficult to do exact comparisons when you are in feedback mode.

Absolutely. Although, that would’ve been oppressively rational and scientific. :| this demo is basically useless.

I like this video a lot. I think esp with the flute the textural differences are obvious. One question: when you used those two different opamps, did you have to change any other parts values to accommodate for the slightly different specs, or did you just flip them in?

Thank You! Same parts with all the different op amps! just a chip swap!

Can you give specs on the mica/styroflex parts? I'd love to do this to my res EQ, sounds amazing.

I used philips styroflex or others with very low tolerance. I collected these parts since I started hacking at res EQs about 8 years ago! they are extremely hard to find now. Also I can't find the Mica anymore :( they are green and look very industrial!

What kind of controller are you using? The green gold thingey? 🤔

honestly I tried 1 on a tau phaser, and I have to say it wasn't a big difference :D. I think @hainbach101 has this Tau Currently

@@FFosaG It's true. I tried a massive mundorf cap, and well it"s the best tau I built so far... but has a lot of gems in it ;)

yes! and very long sold out. It was not easy to build, get everything saucy, nor collect all those parts! We hope they found nice homes.
