They usually mention Once Upon The Time In America and other Hollywood films when talking about his music but for me this - La Piovra- soundtrack is the most beautiful. I hadn’t seen it since I was a child but even after 30 years I could remember the music and it instantly brings back memories of these series. It made La Piovra the masterpiece it was and still is.

This series is unknown in America. So this music is never mentioned in Morricone best charts. As well as music from Le Professionnel.

Watched the series of La Piovra as 12 years old teen with my parents and sister. Now I am 41 and I can say nothing changed... Still thrills me...music and the movie too

Nothing touches my heart more than Italian music. And this is simply perfect. It's been so long since I've seen La Piovra but this wonderful melody of Morricone makes me feel like it was only yesterday that I watched Commissioner Corrado Cattani in his futile fight against Mafia.
